Lol, I apologize for the punctuation errors. My mother is an English teacher and corrected me most of my life while living with her. I would not knock rock island yet I have a buddy that swears by it he has the same gun only chambered in the .45. It must be a Texas thing! I never punctuate, it's not due to lack of knowledge but more that I am not posting an official document or something this is an Internet forum!;)

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
RI doesn't have a bad rep in the 1911 world.
And no, you don't always get what you pay for.
    Sorry you had bad luck.
Would the chamber accept a round?
Guess it's all academic now, as you returned it.
    Glock 27 to replace a 38 Super 1911?
    Fail!

All the english stuff your mom taught you wasn't for "official" documents only.
It makes stuff easier to read.

I am not hating on RIA at all its just I happen to have gotten one that had some issues. No the chamber would not accept the round, i cleaned the gun before i went to the range, once at the range when i tried to chamber the round and it misfed i went to the back of my pickup and unpacked the cleaning kit. Both a buddy and myself checked the weapon after i tore it all apart checked to make sure everything was put back together correctly. I then tried again same thing misfeed.
I do not think of it as a fail i needed a smaller weapon for my concealed carry anyway i already own 2 1911's both chambered in .45. I will say this i am more than happy to try out the RIA .38 super as soon as my local shop has another one in, as I stated before i have a friend who has the same gun chambered in .45 and he loves it.
Hope this post was easier to read!!
