2022 Tacoma Trail Edition 4×4

I was looking at getting a tune but I didn't want to void the warranty too soon. Do you know if the dealers know or care about tuning?

Let's answer this right now...Hi-Res Photos!!! It's foggy and sprinkling here so this is how the color really looked this morning...I have a Fujifilm X-T30 and am shooting Standard JPEG, which is pretty color accurate if you're familiar with their cameras.

I came from a GTI where tunes are more common - this is argued until the end of time. Ultimately, it's a toss-up based on your dealer and how friendly they are with tunes if something goes wrong. Ultimately, it's like any modification: You pay to play. If something goes wrong, and they won't warranty it, if that scares you, you probably shouldn't be tuning. Or, wait until warranty is up, then tune. It's a personal decision, for me if I am buying a brand new vehicle, it's staying stock because I paid big money to have that warranty, by buying a new truck. So I use it!

Speaking of the dealer, they just called and the truck has arrived. Unfortunately im 100 miles away and right in the middle of the snow storm so ill be getting about 16" of snow. Could really use that Tacoma lol

 

Dealer will absolutely say yes lol.

 

Yea im not holding out much hope. Im going to see how they react the the new exhaust when they do the first oil change. But there has to be a dealer somewhere around me thats somewhat aftermarket friendly

Did your Trails come with the Tailgate letters in black? Mine did not, interestingly enough I thought that was part of the package.

 

Mine has the black lettering (dealer has sent me photos), but it was an added option. I, too, thought it was part of the package but I guess not.

 

Must be another mix-up similar to the air dam. Oh well. I can always put them in myself I suppose

Yes! Thank you! Wanted to make sure it was safe to order a Garmin Mini 2 and the power adapter that plugs into that port.

 

Im kind of relieved about it not coming with the tailgate inserts. It saves me from removing them because a part of my pre delivery over zealousness involved these
