Mine comes on periodically - run a tank of mid-grade gas thru it (usually use low octane without issue for years!!) and it goes away. Lights came on after I filled with the mid-grade octane (pre-emptive fill up) recently......didn't over fill and always make sure cap is on correctly. Went to buy beer this AM and needed 4x4 to get out of the 12"+ snow in the driveway. Kept it in 4x4 to the beer store ~ 3 miles away. Got back in after buying the beer and it went off!!!! WHY??? The BEER is the answer????? OP went to a bar, I bought beer - coincidence or not???

The common denominator seems to be alcohol

Ok so I went to a mechanic. Charcoal canister is fine but the solenoid for it up front was filled with dirt or whatever. They cleaned it out and if the problem comes back I’ll order a new one.

 

Let us know how you make out!

 

Check engine light came back maybe I need to replace this part.

 

Are these something we can replace ourselves fairly easy ?

My CEL, Trac and Cruise just went bonkers.... any pics ?
