Next time look at the oil and a little first and you would've known immediately that it wasn't from the engine. Entirely different viscosity, feel and smell to gear oil than engine oil.

    Yeah.

If you lived closer I would just give you the seal I bought when I did my ECGS but ended up not needing.

Just a thought, Is it possible the axle isn't seated all the way?

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
If only you could kick yourself right in the nutsack. Don't worry, though....there's a few here that can help you with that.

Have it towed to the previous shop so they can rectify the situation. If you were my customer I would do the labor for free. You would buy the seal. I have actually been in this same situation, as I've installed nearly 20 ecgs bushings.

That’s good. If your oil level wasn’t lower with the gusher you described, it must be leaking from a different source. And I see from a later post, that was the case. Hopefully it’s not a costly fix, and you’re not bit by supply chain issues, stuck waiting for parts.

It is, it's coming from the driver side axle. They contacted me.

Yeah, I saw that. Glad it’s not engine. Hope you’re back in business soon.

Only time I don't change the axle seal is on a 1-2 year old truck and no damage was done to the axle seal. If the truck is a few years old I change them while I'm in there.

It's odd but sometimes the axle seal is not damaged during removal, sometimes it is.

Thanks again to everyone who chimed in to help. It's appreciated. Thankfully it seems like it's a minor issue (though not so minor in cost lol). Everything seems to have been sorted out and the truck should be ready tomorrow.

PS: Your extended warranty would not have covered this even if it was still in effect. This leak was caused by your modifications, not a factory defect. But I don't think this will be a difficult or expensive fix. Did the shop that did your work offer any sort of warranty on their work?
