That's awesome. My Sinn was my first "higher end" watch purchase. No one outside of the watch world knows the brand but those of us in the know have huge respect. Simply badass watches. Thanks for sharing.

I just inherited this Omega from my dad who recently passed. He wore it every day from back in the 70's. I had it cleaned and serviced. At 38mm it's a bit small for my wrist.

Oh man, sorry to hear about your father's passing. My condolences to you and your family. That's a really beautiful Omega. And the fact that it was your father's is incredible. I have the watch my dad wore while flying fighters in the USAF. I wear it often. And my daughters know all about my watches. I've already given them both a couple but they know someday my others will be theirs. It's a special thing for all involved. Really happy for you that you'll get to have that to remember your dad by.

Side note: I work in the funeral industry and as part of my job we have the honor of transporting the deceased from their homes or hospitals to the care center. There have been several times when I've enquired about jewelry or a watch the son or daughter has pointed to the watch they have on and told me they have already taken it off their loved one. When I happen to have my dad's on I usually mention it to them. It's lead to some incredibly touching moments with family members. Sorry for the ramblings and long post. You've touched upon something that is important in my life and I hold dear. Take care and enjoy your father's watch.

I'll wear it once in a while because it was his. For you older guys, I took off the band he had on it, a Speidel Twist-o-Flex, and replaced it with the leather strap in the picture. He purchased the Omega in Europe when he and my mom were on vacation.

As some who used to work in the funeral industry, thank you for your work. It takes a good person to do that work for a living and a great person to be empathetic while doing so. :hattip:

I got the itch again. Just something about cheap but good watches works for me. Casio Duro "Marlin", a legit dive watch for $50. And I love the deep blue dial.

Probably one of my favorite watches. I wear it nearly everyday. It looks really good on a marine nationale strap.
