oh gotcha. I have different than stock in mine. When I replaced my leaf springs from autoandtruckssprings I got new shackles too so there are 2 bolts that comes out. One in the leaf springs and one in the mount. I’ll probably buy the ome greasable ones though.

    Derek,
I like the stance of your truck, have you tried it with the cap off yet? Just wondering if there is much a difference between the two as far as weight difference?

Got rid of that rig over a year ago.

I never ran Rancho Quick Lifts; I had Fox 2.5 coilovers up front and Fox 2.0 in the rear with an OME Dakar leaf pack and Wheeler's Superbumps.

Tires were Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in 235/85/16.

Sorry, it was the post above yours. I didn’t realize it was the wrong one that I quoted.

I really like them. I originally ran the Rs5000 stock height for about 20 yrs. and when it was time to change out the worn springs I went to the Quicklifts and the Rs9000's in the rear. What is nice about them is the adjustability, 2 clicks up front and 1 click in the rear. Not too stiff and handles really good. Feels even better after I put on the new tires. I haven't taken it on any big off road adventures yet. I like them.

Thanks for the info. My original struts are worn out and I want to put a small lift on without breaking the bank. I drive it on the road mainly, but drive it on the beach quite a bit during the summer. I’m trying to figure out the best setup that won’t beat me to death or make my wife want to beat me to death for spending a fortune on a lift.

You can't go wrong with the Quicklifts imo. I do the same thing, about 90% on road and 10% milld off road if that. I was a little harder on the truck when I first got it but now I take it easy.

Did Rancho's really go down the tubes? I remember back in the 80's and 90's they were the shocks to get. Is it because Monroe makes them?
There is a local guy who builds 4x4's here in my town and he uses Rancho's so I figure if he uses them they shouldn't be bad. I've always had good luck with Rancho's on my last 2 trucks.

“Before” with front spacers (they measure 1.5” but give seemingly way more lift than that) and 2” rear blocks by PO:

After swapping front spacers for 5100s at middle setting to try to remove reverse rake, rear unchanged for now:339ED86D-275B-4E7D-8CC9-361BD532087F.jpg
Was deciding between the middle and the lowest (“0”) setting for 5100s in front. Any thoughts? seems pretty much level now but would it Better to be lower in front for when I put the shell back on and load the bed? Think 0” may have been better

either way I’m very happy with the 5100s instead of the spacers

I bought the truck stock in October 2008 for 15k with 46k on the odometer. I started with a 3" spacer lift, gloss black ProComp 69 series wheels and 31's in 2009ish. After a couple of years of spacers, I bought used Fabtech coilovers on Craigslist for $200. In 2017ish, I bought FOX coilovers with DSC and Total Chaos UCA. In 2019, I started to do some serious work, caged and LT. Still saving money for a supercharger and to back-half the rear with 4 link suspension.

Before and after about a 1.5” lift (6112s on 5/6). Nothing in the back

If the spacers measure 1 1/2”, then it’s a 3” lift. I don’t quite understand how it’s works, but you double the height of the spacer for the actual amount of lift. Truck looks good with the 5100s on it now!
