    Hi Reno folks,

Can anyone recommend a good machine shop or automotive shop in Reno that has a press (and is skilled in using it) for wheel bearings and UCA bushings? I am north in Susanville, CA and nobody around here in Lassen County has a functional press (surprisingly), so I'm heading to Reno tomorrow to try to find a shop. Pretty simple needs and I have all of the OEM parts, just don't want to invest in a press quite yet nor do I trust myself with trying some of the DIY kits/methods and need someone reputable to do the press work:

    - Press hub and wheel bearings out of steering knuckle, press in hub and new wheel bearings
    - Press upper ball joint out of steering knuckle, press in new upper ball joint
    - Press out old bushings from upper control arms, press in new bushings

Everything (steering knuckles and UCAs) is off the vehicle and in milk crates and I have all the OEM new parts. Really could use a recommendation for a good shop that can press out/in, in case anyone sees this and happens to know.

    Cheers!

They'll probably get close to that. Doesn't make sense to me either.

You for sure could. There are multiple 2nd gens with a few mods going for high 30s.

There was a 94 bone stock 80 series with 74k miles that just went for $80k on BaT...

The older FJ's are fetching crazy money now too. The 1st Gen's are really going sky high but are becoming more rare by the day with what is rusting away, makes me cry. The classic car market has done something really similar and without dating myself, the 90's saw a rapid increase in values to the crazy money they're getting today. Can't trade my house for a decent late 60's muscle car...who'd want something that only goes fast in a straight line anyways, right? :amen:

Who can tell me a thing or two about smogging a modified truck in washoe county?

Specifically a 4.0 with a supercharger and header back exhaust. I used to have a vehicle with gutted precats and just ran anti foulers...assuming that would work in the Tacoma too since there is no sniff test but seems like it could get failed if they look under it for the visual. Anyone have experience with this? Feel free to PM me and we can chat offline if you'd rather.
