    Realized I didn't answer your 2nd question:

I may not be the one to ask, but I think it rides well. Feels good on-road, planted. The trail "lift" is really just a taller spring in front, block in back. So I expect any SR5 you drive will feel similar, although tires are different. Someone on this page posted how they did some mountain off-roading with theirs and it felt plenty capable. I have no doubt the bilsteins will provide more quality ride off-road, but I am fine with stock shocks for my needs.

There will always be copycats. Reminds me of all those TRD Pro side badges, you see like TRD OFF ROAD ones on random trim levels. We will always know what we have. The VIN never lies, lol!

When it stops icing here, I am planning on making a YT video, from an actual owner's perspective. Of course the week I get it, the weather is horrible...haven't really gotten to drive it or look around much...oh well, just happy to have it!

Absolutely. They have the black housing halogen lights that came with the pre-2020 pros. Why no not put those on from the factory? Lazy.

I am not a chrome fan. But design taste is subjective. I am sure there is a thread here of Tacomas completely chromed-out. I would prefer black housings, but it's cheaper and simpler for them to make the least number of variations: Projector Halogen, Projector Halogen w/LED DRL, LED, TRD Pro LED. That's already 4.

Oh yeah, I was just being snarky. I think it makes a lot of sense business-wise. It’s just a bummer as it seems like they did really well coordinating the design of the trail with the bronze and black color scheme (badging, interior, wheels, grille) and then... chromed out headlight.

Oh agreed, or honestly giving us the LED DRL Halogens...like, come on.

I am in the group where I think the trail edition pricing actually is fair, and the truck can be a good value (relative to current market, pricing etc.) IF you can get it without that navigation package or any extras. However, I still think they should have done the LED DRL Halogens to set it apart. I know it's an SR5, but give it slightly more distinction. And it would not have cost them much to switch those out. They could have even offset the cost by ACTUALLY not installing the air dam as promised, and putting that money towards something else.

However I am happy to have the SR5 Taillights, the TRD OR/Sport ones are ugly to me with all that chrome. nice classic red is way better

PSA FOR PICKING UP YOUR TRAIL EDITION:

    - The lockbox keys should be in the glovebox. My sales guy had no clue where they were, so I found them when I got home
    - The Tie down cleat thingys should be in the center console I would presume. Mine were, even though they are kind of useless when the bed boxes are in.

Picking up my truck in two days. Thanks to @Drabon74, I was able to take the allocation that he received but didn't end up wanting. Patrick at Capital Toyota in Chattanooga has been great to work with.

So, as of Saturday, I'll be requesting a refund for the deposit I put down at Cobb County Toyota (north Atlanta) for a Lunar Rock TE. I never received an allocation, but if anyone wants to take my spot "in line", I'll gladly give the dealer your name and info.

Which models have these? Didn't realize that any of the halogens had LED DRLs.

Fairly certain the TRD Sport and OR Halogens do.
