Check for straightness now. I'd just be curious to know. Removing material for a key has troubled me before, even with stress relieved.

You guys with your cool cars. I had an ‘85 Mustang LX with a 4 speed.















With the massive 2.3L 4 cylinder. If you took it to 3500 rpm it sounded like it was about to blow!

 

I was going to check it with the straight edge and the boss has already put it in a box ready to ship. It goes to a brick company in Texas.

 

I had an '89 Mustang 5.0, had a friend with me one evening and we got stopped at a light, it was a nice day and we had the windows down. A guy we knew was sitting next to us in his new Taurus SHO when they came out. My buddy with me jokingly said "let's race" the guy said nah. Well, we got stopped at the next light and the guy said "I think I'll give it a shot". We left and he got me by a few car links, I had no idea SHO stood for "Super High Output"

 

The ole 4 door Taurus that would haul ass!

 

The 1986 model with 5.0 and manual transmission was a good runner. If I recall the speedometer went to 85mph but would wind right back around

 

Was that the Yamaha based bizzerko engine that had more cams than the law would allow?

 

Yeah this was late 90's when this happened, maybe 1998.

My wife, we were dating at that time then took a 12 year break before getting married they lived a few miles from us and had a pool. I was leaving her house in that Mustang to get my bathing suit, a friend wanted to ride in the car to see how fast it was. The road my parents live on has a long straight stretch and we were doing about 90, passed a deputy going the other way. He put on brakes and I didn't let out of it, got to my parents dirt driveway that is about 1/4 mile long. Went down it doing about 40, couldn't see anything for the dust and pulled it in dads shop and shut the door. I ran in grabbed my bathing suit and said get in the truck. I had a 1992 Toyota as well, we got to the end of the driveway and the deputy was going by slow. I didn't drive the car for 2 weeks

 

I think it was a Yamaha engine.

 

Boss ask if could make this one look like the other one, I said yeah but not sure how to chip the tooth
