Why are the Front and Rear cameras so crappy

    Am I the only one that thinks our cameras quality is crap? I have a 21 pro and all the views;specifically the image quality on this suck. You can't make out clearly what things are. And why does my front camera have that middle section shaded? I wonder if just replacing the actual cameras would solve the image quality

    My 17 rear cam is pretty decent. I hear this criticism with models newer than mine and it makes me wonder what changed to cause it.

    My rear camera (when it’s clean) is decent. The aftermarket Anytime front camera I installed is much more crisp.

    The rear camera on my wife's 2012 Camry is much better than the rear camera that was on my 2018 TRD OR DCLB.

    My 2016 vs 2021 were the same. The only thing that changes quality is how much snow has caked onto it lol.

    If one grew up watching B/W TV, with rabbit ears, 100 miles from the nearest TV station then, you're ok with the rear view on your 2019 Sports camera...

    The camera resolution isn't exactly smart phone quality, but it's good enough to get the job done. That being said, the reverse camera on our 2021 Rav is noticeably clearer and smoother than the Tacoma for whatever reason....

    As a rural kid in the 80’s we had early satellite tv & an old Zenith TV set. The satellite was as big as a barn. On certain “special” channels that were “scrambled” you might catch a glimpse of a boob….or was that a knee? Damn it, I think it’s just an elbow! No, wait, wait just a second, that was definitely a boob! Hooray!!!:yes:

    In comparison, my Tacoma camera is Ultra High Definition.:D

    Yeah by far personally these are the worst cameras of my two other cars. They dropped the ball on this one. Toyota should freaking have a Recall on this BS.
