Interesting, does the TDI not do self regens? I'm not too familiar with the newer ones

 

It does but pretty sure when the misses was driving short commutes for a couple weeks it built up too much. I tried the ol drive at high RPMs for 10-15 mins too but no worky

 

Ah, yeah the short commutes will do that, especially in cold weather

 

I told her she has to drive it like a race car around town now

 

one of my friends live in the middle of no where Wyoming and he went to his truck this morning and it was so cold the door handle just broke off. Any one guess the temp?

If it's a 1st gen, those handles are known to break on their own with age.

But probably -30F.

 

The 2nd gen handles can definitely get frozen stuck too.

Bumping this since it seems like WarFab is booked out through mid May. Still hoping to make things work with Mike but I have a trip planned at the end of May and would like to have the truck sorted for that, so I'm exploring other possibilities in case that doesn't work out. Any recommended spots on the western slope who have experience with 1st gen shock relocations? Happy to drive a bit- would even go to the front range if needed
