Look like both arb to me. The clamshell fitting is slight in front and below the vent on the tube side

Yep. I have one siting on the side of the house for 2 years now, so I think it's time to take it and use it.

Started digging into the donor rear axle for the Tacoma to get the old diff out and ready to shipped back to ECGS. Turns out seals and bearings are toasted.

Figured since everything is getting replaced, I'm going to be also replacing the bearing and seal on the diff tube from the old clamshell I picked up years ago.

So ECGS didn't include a drain and fill plugs for the front diff, so I order some Lexus front diff plugs. Instead of using an allen wrench and slowly rounding then out these have a 14mm hex built on the face of the plug. Definitely prefer these over the factory ones.

Part numbers are 90341-24016 and 90341-18060.

    That’s good to know.
I bookmarked this for the next diff fluid change in 13,500 miles.

Well... I guess it's time we talk about this.

For starts, as per usual, this was never the plan from the start. Last year I decided it was time to save up for a full suspension overhaul because the Icon suspension on my truck currently is getting to point of being worn out and not performing to the characteristics of what I ultimately wanted for an IFS vehicle. I know everything is a near year long backorder for most major companies, so I turned to the used market and found some basically brand new, still in box, 2.5x8" Fox short body coil overs of another forum for a crazy deal that initially I was going to use for stock IFS and I was going to just use a limit strap to limit down travel.

Enter @Blackdawg, kyle_gdmotorsports on IG, and assburns on IFS Offroad along with a few build threads here and there and some other IG people I follow. I started talking long travel since the coil overs are meant to be used on a long travel setup. Monte got me a few measurements that I needed, as well as Kyle was super helpful talking me through some of the stuff I needed to know if I am to go with a long travel setup. A few days of thinking and an order to MCM for a LT and basically the rest if history. So lets get caught up to where we're at currently.

I had coilovers and smooth bodies since October. The rear shocks are sort of temporary, but we'll see how they do and how long they'll last.

I decided to go with hydro bumps all the way around, because I found them on eBay for a steal.

Picked up a 2002 Sequoia rear axle back in November. That I've been slowly working on over the last few months.

Currently the rear axle is fully torn apart waiting on new bearings and seals.

RuffStuff also ran a sale back in November so I picked up a few goodies from them, as well as a few things from Kartek, for the rear suspension.

And since I'm moving the truck over to 4 wheel disc brakes, I have T100 master and booster ready to accommodate that as well.

And that brings us to current day. I have a lot of little stuff laying around, as well as like 14 too many boxes in my room... :anonymous:

The current plan is that this is all going down in about a months time once I finish up the rear axle rebuild and prep a few things to help then as well. While I have my doubts that the rear will be able to keep up with the front suspension, the rear is temporary. For how long? I have no idea, but the eventual plan is to 3 or 4 link the rear with 14" or 16" coil overs, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I have a lot of work ahead that I still need to get done before I even think about revamping the rear suspension.

Definitely not anytime soon, but definitely still something I'll look at doing down the road once I retire the truck from daily duties. LT is going to be interesting since I have a few people trying to get me on 37s now. :bananadead:
