Ive got a 2010 stock headlights with sylvania silverstar ultra bulbs. They are wicked bright and I love them but I recently noticed that on the right side you can see with the low beams the cutoff shoot up at an angle. With the brights I can't see that sharp line. I have verified that both bulbs are secure and installed properly. Not that it matters for this issue I just want to add that I am on a floor elevated off of the driveway and my headlights are adjusted properly.Any idea what this could be from? Thanks!

The low beam cutoff is slanted to not blind oncoming traffic.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
Yes but as stated it shoots up so wouldn’t that be more blinding to oncoming traffic

I’m thinking it’s because oncoming traffic is on the left?

I’m going to say it’s an aftermarket headlight. :)

Double check and make sure the bulb is sitting flat on the seat.

But are they OEM TOYOTA or just OEM aftermarket replacements?

Oncoming traffic is on the left in WI, correct?

The faint bowl of light you see on the left above the cutoff is intentional, so you can see road signs. Ever see a car with super sharp projector cutoff? It’s hard to see road signs above the cutoff unless the manufacturer designs it to bleed above the cutoff a little.

It is normal. The right corner of the right headlight is always set a little higher to illuminate signs and pedestrians. The left is a little lower to prevent blinding oncoming drivers.

    That’s how the cutoff is.

The DOT standard is a portion of upthrow for unlighted overhead highway signs.

For what its worth I happened to be pointing at a white building last night, I do not have that angle on the passenger side that OP has.

It serves two masters- not blinding the oncoming driver, while still offering port-side peripheral vision.

    Working as intended OP

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
I'd demand a new truck or at least a refund from Toyota.

Your truck is only 10 yrs old and you've already worn out your light pattern.

    :p :D
