Rough Country Neoprene Seat Covers - Review

Some people like to talk badly about RC products, but I’ve had good luck with their mid-level and higher-end products. Just had a shipping delay almost ever time I’ve ordered from them.

$600+ for seat covers from other company’s in today’s market is just crazy when these are 1/3 price if you can deal with the extended wait times.

 

I just spent $500 for new beds for my kids. I'll save every dollar I can.

 

I hear that. The newest addition to our family is currently 3 weeks old and she’s amazing, but another reason I want good seat covers, kids know exactly how to destroy an interior.

 

Anyone have a link? I just put "Rough Country neoprene seat covers" in my Amazon search and it couldn't find anything from Rough Country that fit the Tacoma.

Just a side note when you order. You can choose Front only or Front and Rear but according to RC support they can’t sell you JUST the Rear if you decide you want to add them later. Also, the ship date has always differed between Front only and Front and Rear, so I guess they get them in during different shipments.

Got this today, afer placing the order yesterday.

I have that same email from when I placed mine with a ship date of 01/07/2022. I guess it’s just an automated email they send based on the current ETA.

 

The RC Tacoma covers haven’t been available on Amazon lately. I think they were referring to another brand. Most likely the EKR brand ones that are a little more than the RC ones. I have a buddy who has them and loves them, but I think the RC ones fit tighter which is why I’m holding out.

 

Ordered RC Neoprenes for the front seats only back in May ‘21. Shipping was slightly delayed, but they were well worth the wait. After 7 months of daily use and abuse, they still look like new and the original upholstery underneath IS new.

 

Not to get anyone’s hopes up, but about 15 minutes ago I got a shipping notification email from Rough Country saying my seat covers had shipped FedEx Ground. The tracking number has been generated, but I’m sure it’ll be 24 hours or more before I can actually track it.

 

I just got my FedEx ground shipping notification for the front and rear set as well. Originally ordered in early January.

 

I ordered mine in late December. Based on the other review on this thread I’ll be happy to have them in and finally have my heated seat install finished.

 

Yeah I tried to buy just the rears because I didn’t want covers on the front but no dice. Thankfully the set is cheap enough I could just use the rear (which I’m happy with!).

 

Sell the fronts to someone with AC?

 

Damn, I don't like neoprene for seat covers but at this price, how can you say no?

 

You’re in the K Bay area? I’d think you’ll really like this cover due to keeping water, mud, etc. off your seats. I’ve got a couple kids who are seemingly always either wet or muddy when getting into my truck, so I really like neoprene covers.

The only negative for you is it looks like these RC covers only come in black. I’d suggest a lighter color. My Wet Okole’s are gray with black accents, so not as hot in the sun.

 

My tracking # says it’ll be here Tuesday the 8th. I’ll be sure and post a picture once I get them installed.

I’ll follow up with my experience on the heated seat elements in case anyone else is interested.
