I am just about past the warrenty mark on my truck for the TSB. I have been reading through some other treads about it and alot of you guys seem to have been really happy with your truck after it was done, but I have read a few that say the truck started riding alot rougher than they thought it would. I have an '09 prerunner. I do haul stuff like motorcycles, utility trailer, yard equimpent. I have noticed my truck sitting very low with not much weight in it and whiling pulling a trailer it seems extremly bouncy.

What do you guys think. Is it worth it? And if I get it on my SR5 prerunner what all will they change?

If you don't need it, don't get it. If you can haul what you need to haul and the truck isn't bottoming out and you've been happy so far, why change it? To give you a comparison, mine would bottom out hard with a motorcycle (about 400 lbs) in the bed on a moderately bumpy road so I got the TSB. If they do perform the TSB, it should be covered under warranty and wouldn't cost you anything. It does ride a lot stiffer. I like it but it's a personal preference. I also have a shell and have a decent amount of weight in the back at any given time so the TSB was a must for me.

Yes do it, especially if you haul stuff. I am very happy I got mine done, the truck now rides the way it should of from the factory.

No, if you have to ask yourself if you need it or not you shouldn't get it. I needed mine because I haul things.

If , as you say OP , you haul in your truck , then yes.

If you are the type of person that takes their truck in to have a 4th leaf added , knowing ahead of time that the ride will stiffen some , and then starts threads complaining that the spring TSB made the truck ride like a dump truck , then no.

    I can't take anymore . :)

You should get it because they are suppossed to give you new shocks, then you don't have to buy replacements.

To be honest I hardly noticed the difference... The service guy was warning me about the ride, but after all it is a truck.

I loaded it up with wood the other day and was very pleased that I got it done. :D

do it, mine rides great but I have 5100's all around. With my set up, I thinks it rides better and corners great. TSB is worth it especially when haul alot.

It will make for a stiffer ride so if you are not planning on towing or hauling heavy loads and you like the soft ride you have now I would say leave it alone. I had mine done and I like the feel of the truck much more than before, like a mattress it was to soft for me!!!

Took mine in yesterday, picked it up last night. I like the new ride, truck feels more solid now. Plus I haul enclosed trailer to and from Florida with sometimes 3 Harleys inside. So I needed the extra springs. Headed back to Fl in March, will only be hauling 2 bikes ...so far... so I expect a much more stable ride than the last trip in Dec.

Tough question. I was going to get it done "just because" For me that only meant new springs which would raise the already slightly raised rearend ( 08 /24K miles). Apparently the previous owner did not use the bed. Wasn't a scratch on the plastic.

I decided after opening a case number and speaking with a mechanic to pass. My boat doesn't have the tongue weight to worry about. I towed it with bumper balls and only will tow it a few miles twice a year. Other than that I may carry some yard rock in it once or twice. So rather than having them mess with the truck and screwing up the sweet ride, I decided to pass. The previous owner obviously did not tow or carry heavy loads and did not have it done at a dealership that does them no questions asked where he originally bought it and I later bought it.

I happen to love the soft ride. Rides better than the Honda Accord Coupe I dumped ...and is quieter as well. I guess if you like the soft ride and don't plan on taking it off road, carrying heavy loads a lot or towing heavy trailers all the time. You really don't need it.

For those who are getting the whole suspension done free with shocks etc..........yeah I might go for that. Can't blame you guys with Pre Runners. That is a huge upgrade. For me its basically just another leaf. A lot of room to screw things up just to add another leaf.
