no shit? It's an opinion. You wanna replace $140 reverse bulbs, it's a free country. But I am willing to bet your welfare check you couldn't tell the difference between the two if you were blindfolded, spun around, then asked which is which.

got my stage 1 kit, just waiting for some warmer weather to do the install, along with the DIR license plate light mod.
I'd still like to know why the rocket surgeons at Toyota decided to ditch amber turn signals?

You got a big mouth on you internet cowboy. Your entire post was written as “a matter of fact” and I merely pointed out its your opinion and it isn’t the gold standard in a simple non confrontational manner. Who pissed in your wheaties or just a salty mf

I work for mines period and have no problems replacing the 200$ switchbacks if the 3 yr warranty is up… no need to wait for a dole day bro, never have.

doesn’t sound like an opinion piece to me
Same here too. This might be why you pulled welfare up out of left field, only person that complained about cost is you.

imo, vled is worth the money. It’s not just the product offered but the warranty and customer service that comes with it. They have always gone above and beyond every time with my dealings/warranty issues.

Took my first early morning drive after installing stage 1 yesterday. Turn signals were lighting up stop signs two blocks behind me. I'm plenty happy with the brightness of the S1 bulbs

I'm not even going to address the insecurities you just projected. Maybe I should have stated /s about the welfare check thing, but since my initial opinion pissed you off enough to alter my comment and troll, I could care less. Take a hike.

Now we both are laughing… I wasn’t pissed off (fixed it for you seems simple, bland and lacks emotion) and I don’t troll or do Facebook btw. I have no idea where your comments are going but that’s alright

The welfare comments from a dude that dropped over $300 on rubber mud flaps.

He likes to piss and moan. And demand a free truck when a service guy breathes on his.

Stage 2 / VLED are worth it, but that's a personal choice. For me, I like the best, and apparently @baldbeardedtaco agrees.

Show us on the doll where TW touched you Montana...

Demand a free truck? You got so many enemies you're mixing me up with someone else on a different thread, lol. Someone I agreed with for the most part, sure, but never said anything of the sort. And yea, you got called out in that thread for your attitude - by many people - before I requested a lock, dont let it happen here too. Moving on...

So you have a friend here. There were 5+ people before you two that agree stage 1 is enough... Including OP who has already made his mind up.

But math isn't as important as egos...

I'm a bit worried about the ability to get replacement bulbs for the stage 1 kit I have. I'm sure meso sells them but what if years down the road they are gone? I like the kit and it will probably last but you never know. Are they available some other place?
you could also remove the stage 1 kit and go back to stock if you had to since nothing is changed that can't be removed like in the stage 2 kit

I wasn't really paying attention when I installed my bulbs but are the new harnesses really specific to a certain bulb? Is it possible to swap out with another similar LED if necessary?

They are specific to the bulb type the truck uses. You can change them to a different LED bulb if you want

Stock bulbs, plug and housing type:
    Brake(s): 7443
    Reverse bucket: 921

    Oh look, another mod....
I sometimes wonder if @MESO will be like Apple, and keep upgrading our light harnesses, ensuring that we keep upgrading.

TacomaWorld User: Hey, what version Meso are you on right now?
    Me: I'm on the newest, v.8.7 !
TacomaWorld User: Damn man, I couldn't afford that upgrade, I'm only on v.6.2
    Me: You welfare loser!

Yes, already has with other parts.
    V2 map and dome light
    V5 turn signals
    V2 gasshole
    puddle harness V1 - V2

Not sure the TTL harness would change though?

I had stage 1 before the MESO Morimoto
Then bought the MESO Morimoto, looks cool but I definitely want more brightness, so I'm going back to amber turn kit
MESO stage 2 never in stock, but I found that VLEDS they make their own reverse/amber turn kit

    https://www.vleds.com/featured-vehi...-tacoma-v6-tail-light-conversion-s2.html.html

looks like parking light is only 80 lumen, but braking will be 1600 lumen, amber turn 500 lumen, and 900 lumen reverse light.

Anyone tried out the VLEDS version? is 80 lumen parking bright enough at night?

That is pretty cool and since they developed a V6 921 switchback, it doesn't require modding the reverse bucket.

I went with Stage 1 and I’m very happy with them. I like the ability to go back to stock setup if I need to. Stage 2 removes that option.

Yeah, that's so much better than having to mod the OE housing, if I get that 1.9% APR this weekend I'll pick up a new Tacoma and test this kit side by side with MESO Morimoto currently on my truck

I've seen the Morimotos. They're very nice, but the red lenses kill the turn signal brightness in daylight. Right about on par with the stockers and much less confusing. The TotalTails are superior, IMHO.
