I sure wish we could have the OR DCSB in 6MT up here in Canada. I had to settle for a Sport due to this. Pro was not in the budget at the time. Plus the Pro does not get the JBL when MT. Not worth the extra $10K if you ask me. I could build up my Sport to be better than that with $10K.

There was no settling! You got the 'SKEWP'. That's a win in my books!

Seriously I love the look... I would like a locker though...

Not sure if it has changed since they relocated and shifts the production plants but before they only made the manuals once a quarter so if you missed the boat you had to wait for the next cycle.

The "Build Tool" isn't really a build tool. It only allows you to build a truck that is in your regional inventory.

In other words, it's really a regional inventory tool.

Win some, lose some. It's odd that Canada gets to access cab OR with a manual and the US only gets the sport. Do the Canadian sport trims come with JBL? Dont think any of them across the board with an MT come with JBL in the US.

Are you saying the US does not get an OR with a manual? Because that's exactly what has been allocated to me in the PNW. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

They dont get the access cab OR in manual. However, the US does get the double cab short bed in manual.

The demand for AC M/T is weak with small numbers sold even in Canada which is a small market compared to the USA.

I bought my TRD OR AC M/T taco off the showroom floor in June 2019; it was built in Sept 2018 and had 200kms on the odometer. I didn't discover that until I drove it home. Went back to the dealer and told the manager that he sold me a used truck with 200kms...after some back and forth, he asked me if a tank of gas would make me happy and I said it would.:)

:fingerscrossed: Hope the next gen still has a M/T.

Pretty sure that you cannot buy a 3rd gen Access Cab OR/MT - when I was shopping, this is what I needed/wanted/wtf ever and it does not exist in the USA

I bought my '21 OR DC SB 6-MT with LEDs in Silver Sky Metallic 8 months ago. I couldn't "build" a Sport with the same configuration unless I deleted the LEDs.
Fast forward 11,000 miles, the OR is great, love the LEDs, and have no regrets. 175 cm skis fit diagonally in the short bed. Purchased in NY, USA.

BTW - the truck never appeared on Cars.com. I saw it by chance on a dealer's website. I called and learned that it hadn't come in yet and no one else had left a deposit. 3 weeks later it was mine @ MSRP.

Update: I have talked to several local dealers and all are charging around 2k up charge. Found a dealer in AL about 4 hours away that will “order” with no up charge. So within the next couple weeks I plan on doing another proximity search and if that fails then order it through the AL dealer. Will update if and when I pull the trigger. Thanks again!

Update: I have put earnest money down on one at a dealer in Alabama. No market adjustment, just MSRP. Still 38k but that’s the best I can get in this region. They gave me a “window” of estimated 30-150 days. I’ll just take it as a blessing and use whatever time I have to gather up a good down payment.

Hey everybody so I have a dilemma that I’d like input from actual owners from; my dealer I am working with said he has a lunar rock 6 speed TRD OR coming in 45 days. I told him I really want Army Green but he said it would take a lot longer to get. I can deal with delayed gratification, but I am considering the lunar rock. From those who have or have ever seen lunar rock in person (I have never), is it too loud or showy? I don’t want to attract attention everywhere I go. Does it blend in sort of or is it a loud color option? Thank you for input

In these times of limited inventory availability, I would say don't let colour be a deal maker/breaker. A colour that you initially don't really like, you could eventually grow a liking for and if not, then sell it.

Can you fly out there to get Tacoma in 700 miles away? If so, you can drive back. That's what my friends did.

If you want Army Green, you can wrap your truck in Army Green if you are not able to get it in that color.. Lunar Rock is nice color.. I am sure it will look awesome with black wheels. Especially with Army Green.
