    Considering getting running boards to make it easier to get into our truck. Any recs? Wondering if there are some that have a minimal effect on ground clearance for those of us doing some off trail driving.

    A mad dash from AZ to CO and back, to get my friend's LX450/80-series Cruiser from the Campteq headquarters. He and his wife have been working on this project for well over a year now. It's pretty amazing... they built a completely new engine from OEM parts :eek: ... and on down the line... full rebuild. The axles will be next. Anyway, this was the first night he got to sleep in the new camper. The interior is just gorgeous, and... badass. We found a pretty epic spot perched way above the San Juan river. His channel is Douglas Green on youtube if you care to see more of his Campteq wedge camper project, and the Cruiser build.

    Yes, it is. If you check out the channel for Douglas Green on youtube he has some good vids on the Cruiser, some of which show the galley cabinet sliding out the back. It's impressive.

    We have a setup that works well for us all winter. We spend a lot of time camping at snoparks in the the mountains as a base camp for skiing.
    I have a counter-top that sits on some slip-on brackets that mount on the camper C-channel. Seems to work pretty well, although I do have to remove it while driving. Screen Shot 2022-02-02 at 4.13.17 PM.jpg

    that’s awesome do you have any permanent benches or cabinets? I’m looking for something for out of state hunting sometimes I move a lot and sometimes it’s freezing cold for extended periods where cooking outside isn’t ideal

    I have mine set up with a standing-height sink and stove. And you hit the nail on the head with a comfortable place to sit... that is important when you want to be inside for any length of time due to weather, and you aren't laying down sleeping. I set mine up with a convertible deck area and use a couple GCI "Everywhere chair"s and it works great. The chairs can be folded up and stashed when you aren't using them. For warmth, I'm using a modified propane fireplace. I like it for the visual flame and doesn't need electricity or a fan unless you want to move air (it's quiet). If you search the Vagabond mods thread for my user name I have more pics and details in there. Good luck with your setup!

    I look at my truck and just cant fucking fathom making it as cozy and high functioning as you have made yours. Seriously impressive.

    How much do you think everything weighs? Camper and build out.

    Thank you! A rough estimate: the Drifter with side doors, L-track and fan probably 400-ish, the interior build-out (floor, cabinets, sink, stove, wiring, plumbing - no contents or gear) approx. 350 lbs. And the Alu-Cab 270 awning with brackets plus the two 100W solar panels with mounts approx. 100 lbs. So, total around 850 lbs.
