What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Finished the wiring to the steering wheel controls. Currently wiring the backup camera and mic connections.
This weekend I'll add wires for the inverter and remote start.

I ordered 3-core and 2-core wire so I can add power/heated mirrors, that should be here Monday.

 

I had some, they leaked and fogged up after a year. I bought some oem lexus/toyota metal surrounds on ebay for about the price same price as the Amazon kit and reused the wire harness and some better bulbs and it worked out a lot better.

 

I just bent the mounting bracket out a little and used that bolt. Yours looks cleaner IMO

After some “modifying”and some fabbed up brackets finally got the rock block mud flaps to clear the 34’s and mount to my shaved fenders.

I really don't listen to my radio but I keep the factory style long antenna (mine is actually about 3" longer than factory) as it's my clearance checker, if my antenna fits under the limb or ledge without touching the rest of my truck has 2".

 

How has the Kickass shower awning held up? Would you recommend it?

 

Did this improve your radio reception. My reception is terrible. Never had bad reception in my area with any other vehicle.

I installed the Installed my Headlight Services Harness and Osram 100/90w bulbs. I went from OEM, to Phillips RacingVision +200, to the harness and Osrams... Very pleased with the new light!
The cutoff is perfect and I am not blinding oncoming drivers. Super pleased.

 

installed one of those tailgate LED brake lights. It might be a little cheesy but if it gets me more visibility at night then I’ll be happy.

 

I replaced the carrier bearing. I think next time I'll just buy the part and take it to a shop... took me 4 hours.

Got the chase bar mounted today and it’s seriously a perfect fit. Didn’t drill the prinsu at all because even the mounting holes lined up with where the crossbar was. I also got the control box mocked up. I’ll add edge trim around it and mount it as flush as I can, that’ll happen sometime next week.

Cleaned all the friggen ice and snow off it today

 

It's built very well and was mounted throughout the past summer and fall and has held up to intense sun and very bad weather. A durable shower enclosure with sturdy zipper pulls. I would definitely recommend Kickass products. Built in Australia and Aussie tough.

 

Just added a Bed Rug, Calirasied Molle front panel, Buss Panel. And locking under seat storage.
