Just fyi I told them that too - like hey, if you’re going to force me to buy your financing product, throw in a tonneau cover. and they were like don’t let the door hit your ass. It’s pure bullshit. End of the day I wasn’t letting a manual AG taco get away from me so I let them get me 2.7% financing which wasn’t bad.

I’ll just get all my service and parts done at the other dealership and never see them again. And leave a shit survey for them when Toyota sends me one.

 

Sorry I wasn't clear. What I'm looking for and put a deposit down is a TRD-OR DCLB, with premium and advanced tech . I thunk the website calls it premium OR, with options, but the options is advanced tech, I want the MTM..

One of the dealers I have a deposit down with reached out to me today and said they are getting a truck that is very similar to what I requested, but it doesn’t have the LED light package like I want. They said they are contacting the factory to try to get that changed…. Apparently the truck is being built later this month.

Anybody heard of dealers having success getting such a package added on before the truck is built?

 

Some have mentioned it. Apparently some dealers are willing to put in the work to try and change it for their customers. Really cool they are willing to make an attempt for you.

 

Yes. You can do multiple credit apps within a period of like 10 days and your credit report will show only one hard pull

Welp, finally heard from my dealer today and as far as they can tell, 11 days after my truck was built, it's still sitting at the factory. No ETA or anything.

They said something about parts not being available, even for trucks that are already on the assembly line. I suppose it's possible, but surely Toyota has the logistics dialed in enough that they wouldn't throw a truck on the line that couldn't be fully built. Has anyone else heard that? I'd imagine the dealer would have to call Toyota Logistics to get information that detailed and I know they didn't do that while I was on the phone with them. I'm assuming they just have no idea where it's at or what's going on with it.

 

Will Toyota or the dealer give you a copy of the window sticker with MSRP once it goes into production? That will give you almost an exact amount of what I would expect to pay before adding tax, license, registration and a modest filing fee, then get preapproved at your bank. I would want to spend the absolute least amount of time in the finance office. Having the window sticker will assure you the dealer doesn't add on any dealer installed junk
