Well, I'm leaving no later than 11am tomorrow morning; Tacoma's all gassed up for the long haul!

 

How bout this one?

 

Normally I'm really good at identifying muscle cars, but at that distance I can't tell if that's 1967-1969 Camaro or a 1970-1974 Cuda! I love muscle cars, but everybody restores those, and at this point I'd probably walk past that to look an old station wagon or other Malaise-era Detroit land yacht!

 

That front wheel looks like a Cuba wheel
But the car looks more like a mustang?

If I didn't just scout out 45 miles of Green Ridge State Forest today, I would have joined ya. (If you were game for company) spent 6 hours driving today. I'm 3.5 from Centralia...





It just rained for a day and a half here, and there's still ice and snow/slush from 3 weeks ago. Deep valleys don't get much sun....

Sorry for the tangent. Have a safe trip. Hope to see some pictures and maybe a write up from Centralia.

 

I plan on taking at least one other trip up there with my dog Porter when it's warmer! What I'm really hoping is that I can get pictures of the smoke/steam against a snowy winter backdrop!

It's only gonna be a day trip; Drive up in the late morning, get pictures, maybe see if any Toyota dealers up there have a 2022 Tundra in stock, then stop for dinner with my cousin in the Lehigh Valley area, and come back to meet my friends so we can see the new Jackass movie!

This is a true crackhouse, located not that far from Centralia where I'm going tomorrow; It comes complete with crackhead tenants who are not cooperating with the seller, and whom it will be the buyer's responsibility to have removed from the property...





I seriously still cannot believe that there are places in Pennsylvania where a house can be purchased for less than a used Tacoma!

 

centralia is like the hills have eyes, watch out. You can buy a vehicle for less than a house but it may very well cost you your life.

A marginally larger house in Doylestown Borough, with one less bedroom; Location! Location! Location!



You'd be surprised what people are willing to do if you just strike up a friendly conversation with them; It was not this house, but it was one of the townhouses this building. My friend and former boss used to live right across the street from these 19th century townhouses, and I struck up a conversation with the owner of one; He was renovating the place, and he invited me inside to take a look. 3 of the 4 houses in the building, including his, have been retrofitted with central A/C; He had fully renovated the kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. These houses are much bigger than they look, and the kitchen even had enough room for a dishwasher!

My only complaint about these four houses is that they don't have any off-street parking, and parked vehicles getting hit by drunk drivers are fairly common occurrence on Oakland; The house above is literally just footsteps away from where I got hit by a drunk driver in my truck!

 

And '67 also had the triangle windows in the doors, though that's kind of a moot point here...

My grievances with Facebook are too numerous to mention, and the only reasons I'm still on there are because most of my family is, and there's a group called "Rusting and Running Rides" where I'm a bit of a celebrity for all of the pictures I post...

A few of my friends are "mutual friends" who I don't know particularly well, and that is the case here; I haven't seen this particular person in YEARS...

Some TW members may remember that years ago, and old friend of mine from when I lived in Washington (state) would continuously send me chain letters and other random shit through Facebook messenger after it was sent to him; I requested that he stop and he didn't listen, so I blocked him from messaging me (though we are still friends). This guy got a traumatic brain injury in a car accident back in the 1990s when he was a just a kid, so I cut him a lot of slack...

 

On Facebook, not yet...

But I think it's time for another culling of my friend list!
