How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Wait, your truck was built on Jan 12??? Mine was built on Dec 23 and it's stuck in PA.

 

i have the vspec sheet that she gave to me when the truck got allocated to the dealer.

 

Try a credit union as well as banks. You will have to “join” the credit union but usually initial deposit is $25-$50 but you also may get a lower interest rate, especially if you have automatic withdrawals.

Hi, New member here and soon to be first time Tacoma owner. My white Off Road is to be completed Feb. 20 and I hope to see it in early March. I'm hoping there is still snow at our cabin in Pinecrest, CA I can drive around in. Also I am looking forward to exploring the back roads around Pinecrest come spring and summer!

 

When did you put down your deposit?

I thought I would be good with putting down my deposit last week and forgetting about it, like I do whenever I order a suppressor but I got bored and found this thread!

 

Got an update today, truck will be here mid March. I ordered in December and they had a very similar one pop up on allocation today. Total price will be just under 44k OTD.

 

I did the deposit 1 1/2 weeks ago after a lot of research and phone calls prior to.

 

Did you make a bunch of changes to it? Add a bunch of stuff? I think adding packages greatly effects its delivery date.

Not the "accessories " those are mostly dealer, but if you lifted it... they probably outsource that

There is a building not far from my house. I see brand new Ford and Dodge trucks go in. They come out lifted and bass ass as hell. I'm guessing local dealerships pay them to do all the tricking out. Perhaps toyota has a similar model, and your truck is stuck waiting for its "upgraded something"

Didn't you guys have a bomb cyclone? Trains out here in Colorado and Wyoming stop when it gets that bad.. that alone could have just cost you a week

I had my ideal 2021 Tacoma (double cab, MT, army green, off road pkg, led lamps) and unfortunately it got totaled moving from MD back to CO a month after purchasing it .

I’ve had 3 deposits at dealerships in CO since November (all refundable, and have either confirmed they charge only MSRP + dealer fee in email or have sent me a pricing document w/ signature stating such)…only one dealership (interstate) has offered me compromise allocations (I’ve refused all).

Pedersen is one of these dealers — have you had experience with them charging 5K over MSRP? The only thing I see over MSRP on their website is a Pro 4Runner.

I’m now concerned they might get the vehicle allocated and then the day I show up tell me they want 5K over MSRP.

I am worried about the same thing. My dealer wouldn't put anything in writing until the allocation is secured. I understand the reasoning, but it also continues to leave the proverbial ball in their court for the entire time.

I am hoping that the original "Covid Handshake" price doesn't change when they suddenly see a shiny new TRD Pro on their lot that they can mark up a ton and still sell that day.

 

Here it is, got up and put the Lomax cover, LED bed lights, Power Tailgate lock, & Black out Emblems on so done for today. Purchase went pretty good even though we were there for over 3 hours, for having little inventory the place was packed! For you guys asking about finance rates I was able to get 2.4% for 66 months through Toyota Financial, I had my CU letter but they beat it by .1% so I let them have it.Here's my timeline for purchase of our Tacoma TRD SB OR Premium MT:

12/2/21 - Deposit put down
12/23/22 - Got allocated with temp VIN
1/17/22 - Truck was built
1/18/22 - Rail Departure
2/1/22 - Arrived at Railhead in Denver
2/4/22 - Arrived at Groove Toyota Littleton

How was the tailgate lock actuator to install? Kind of want one... lol

 

Not bad on the timeline considering, I gave groove deposit on 11/13 and haven’t received one murmur from them. I’m guessing you were flexible on the color?
