Bath after 3” of rain. I have to wear sunglasses when washing this thing, so damn bright!

 

No issues with our delivery and we're in Oregon. Box had a few dings and scuffs on it but our DiamondBack HD cover itself arrived in excellent condition.

 

Too bad the grills have to be tossed, kind of like the design…..

I think ultimately the clarity in sound will make me forget all about the grills.

 

i can try to shave off my adapter...it's aluminum so not sure how much material before i hit something.

 

Same here, my HD arrived in Portland with no issues. I paid for the expedited production and it almost shipped too fast.

 

Looks great. I might consider adding a drip edge to the top of the box just in case you ever run with the top down or the sides up. Keeping that little bit of water out of the drawers would probably extend their useful life considerably.

Not something I actually did to the truck, but a realization I made last night coming home from work. Boston got hit with some freezing rain yesterday so all of my windows were frozen over when I was leaving work. I'm from Oklahoma so I'm used to dealing with freezing rain, so no big deal. Got the truck warmed up and the driver's and passenger's windows cleaned but the rear door windows were still frozen over when I jumped in to leave. Then I got the idiot light and message from the truck that BSM is not available due to the ice on the sensors. The same thing happened the other day when the rear windows were fogged over but the sensors were covered in slush.

My realization: The only time I actually care about having BSM is the exact same time it is never available. It's permanently off now.

 

What's there to hunt in Hawaii?

I did my own take on adding lighting to the dome circuit by adding an LED in the coin holder spot and in front of the door speakers. Otherwise just the shift knob is illuminated when the truck is on.

 

And the USB adapter in the 12v power outlet it appears. What's that going on in the center console pocket?

You are correct but the USB adapter can be removed and won't be there long once I permanently install my own designed dashtop RAM-type ball mounting plate(getting powder coated flat black this week) which has 2x USB lines coming up from the fuse box.
The LED in the centre console illuminates what is in little square space when the door opens.
