These lines are plastic so I’d like to find something to fit without redoing everything, but that may not be possible. The little details are killing me. It’ll be a miracle if this thing boots up and drives when I’m done

I’ve got an RCI cell with a motobilt mounting plate and an adapter for a jeep stock pump which will work with the factory taco pump if I trim it a hair.

So you need lines to attach to the Jeep adapter right? Don't they just use the common quick connect fitting found on many domestic trucks? Won't you be making new lines?

The jeep adapter is just a ring to fit a stock jeep pump which is almost the same diameter as the taco pump. I’m keeping the stock pump, just need longer factory lines to get it over to the fuel cell. Maybe the fittings on the stock pump aren’t hard to source and I can make or buy some sort of extension. I’ll try to grab some pictures

I replaced my pump awhile ago - there are plastic hard lines coming out of the top of the assembly that you need quick connectors to fit on with those yellow (blue?) tabs you pull out yeah?

edit: saw the pic - yeah so won’t you have to replace those lines since you’re relocating the fuel cell to the rear of your truck and they won’t reach? What’s on the other end of the lines in your picture?

Either that or extend them with that same end fitting somehow. On the truck side there’s hard line that that blue fitting snaps into and a similar setup for the other connection. I’ve got a baby in one hand so my picture taking is hindered haha I’ll take some more in a few.

Exactly - put some research into the stuff you need and it'll be ok. 1st gen is all flare nuts so never looked into which ones are needed for 2nd gens.

Must have missed that. I’ll take the lines from the pump and see what I can find

We’re relocating the PS cooler rebuilding the front.
Trying to decide either a tube style dual pass or typical tube and fin like a Hayden.
Dual pass tube is smaller foot print though.

Haha yea always surprising how much the industry still follows that idea. I mean they do heat up and radiate heat a little bit but it's nothing compared to the body itself from everything i've ever seen

No doubt. They ain’t cheap either. If they would just move those fins to the body just maybe there would be a benefit.

All the rage on the ultra4 trucks this year. Have a good showing on the lakebed sells throughout the year.

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
That might be easy to accomplish on the bypass, but man, making that work on the body of a coilover and make it actually function as a proper heat sink would be a challenge

or coil top hats and seats would need a new design for clearancing the body
And I’m sure that would effect how load is carried and would totally jack the ability to tune them
So I’m sure to an extent
The reservoir was an attempt at compromise to that same idea

    cause if I remember right
There were some shocks with finned adjustment tubes for a while too
which likely worked equally as well :bananadead:
