i put a deposit down on a Sport 4x4 in Army Green a couple weeks ago. It's supposed to arrive on Feb 24th, but my salesman (and the dealership manager) said it might even arrive before that. I think it all depends on what is allocated to the dealership and how many of those are pre-sold. But I could be wrong.

Hopefully this post will give you all some hope going forward. I picked up my Barcelona Red TRD OR AT yesterday. It had an ETA of Feb 9th, but showed up five days early.

01/05 Deposit on Allocation. It was a Week 2 Build
01/11 Build Date. Temp Vin went inactive
    02/04 Picked up from Dealer
Going back on Tuesday to get the TRD lift installed. It was 2200 added to the deal.

Paid MSRP plus a 699 Doc Fee and the lift. Doc fees in NC are stupid high. They did not try to make me use their financing or add anything extra. They didn't even run my credit or offer once I told them my rate from Navy Fed. Hopefully you guys can find similar dealers that aren't trying to rob everyone. They are out there.

The only thing I didn't get that I wanted was LED Headlights. My 20 TRD OR had them and they were so much better. At some point I will get the OEM LEDs.

Has anyone else had their truck stuck at a local port for an extended period of time? Mine has apparently been there for three weeks and it hasn't moved to the dealership. I'm in the Denver, CO area. The dealer is communicating well, but I'm starting to think something else is going on. They did say they checked if it was waiting for transit damage repairs and they said there were no damage notes and everything checked 'clean'. They say there is a shortage of truckers available to take cars the last miles to the dealership. I guess that could be the case, but three weeks seems excessive.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? I'm looking for advise if there are any other questions I could ask the dealership to feel more confident that something odd isn't going on. The waiting is killing me!

Mine was built 2 weeks ago and according to my dealer, hasn't even left the factory yet...if that makes you feel any better.

The trucker shortage is real, but not saying that is why yours is sitting there. It does sound like a good reason though. If your vehicle was damaged they aren't going to tell you if they can fix it so the dealer is going to keep telling you it is logistical issues.

From what I have seen in this thread is that some regions appear to be slower getting their trucks out. Honestly I am guessing, but I know it sucks to wait and have your truck delayed. I hope you get it soon

Keep in mind, the ships and rails probably don't load up until they are at capacity before they head to port. Rails more than likely do not leave port until they are at capacity. Once the vehicles arrive at the region they are destined for, you now have the shortage of drivers, PLUS, those carriers delivering the vehicles to the dealer, again, more than likely do not head out until they have a full load.

It all comes down to expense. It's cheaper for the manufacturer and shipping company to send full loads of vehicles than it is to send out partial loads.

Congrats, @darkwingduck5! First 22 Pro in White that I've seen, so thanks for sharing.

Did those Duratracs come on the truck from the factory or did you have the dealer swap them with the Territory ATs already? Looking at @Acash LR Trail Edition, it has the Territory ATs. All the 22 Pro press vehicles seemed to have the Territory ATs too, so now I'm curious.

They were swapped. Bummer to pay for new tires and not keep the stock ones.

Does anybody know if the port/dealer could swap the standard headlamps for LED lamps? I got offered an army green manual trans offroad; while I preferred the TRD premium, I could be flexible on this. Also realizing I could do this stuff aftermarket but would prefer not to settle since I don’t need a car immediately.

No. Those need to be done at the factory. You can buy the OEM LED lamps, but from what I've read here you will need a harness adapter to make them work.

Give it a few days, 3-5, then check your dealers online inventory to see if the exact truck you placed a deposit on is listed. This is how I got my real VIN.

Interesting. It was on their site in December when I put the deposit on it and was taken down after. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Thanks!

Probably good advice but I’ve already waited 3 months so I’m inclined to wait another 3 and see what shakes out now that I’m at the top of the list at multiple Denver area dealers.

    perhaps I’ll regret it
