I think (I may be wrong here) but hat you're talking about Castor on the alignment. But yea, I've head a lot of people get the castor pushed forward and maxed out.

I'm assuming you've done cab mount chop and pinch weld smash already?

Oh crap my bad, your right I meant to say castor. Yes, I have the body mount chop done, along with pinch welds and trim down some fender.

The one thing I have not done is adjust the castors forward to its max. I hope by doing this will eliminate the rubbing:)DDA99A86-330C-406D-951F-1503A4B991F5.jpg

Although I have not ran spacers on my Tacoma I have ran spacers on my 2015 mustang. They perfectly safe. I auto x with the car and have not had any type of issue with that being said because I tend to overly think things I will not be running spacers on the Tacoma just slightly wider wheels instead. I look at it as one less thing to worry about

Real question here: how are [high-quality] spacers like Spidertrax any different than running a wheel with similar offset? I suppose that they both put more pressure on wheel bearings and will cause them to fail earlier than they otherwise would. Beyond that [and rubbing issues], what other potentially negative effects or mechanical failures would you expect from wheel spacers?

I ordered the Spidertrax 1.25 so I’m just waiting for them. My question is about the locktite. Everyone says put some on and then in about 100 miles retorque them again. If it takes 2 days to get my 100 miles wouldn’t retorquing them break the bond of the loctite making it useless?

    better suspension....
the retorque specs are lower than the original torquing values - if the nuts are loose you’ll find out instantly, but if they’re still tight you won’t break the loctite bond

when I ran my Bora spacers I did not use loctite. After 100 miles I just retorqued everything back to the original recommended torque. Any time I rotated the tires after I would just make sure things are still torqued and didn’t come loose.
As said with loctite there is a re-torque number so that you don’t break the loctite bound

minor edit, per bora they want you to do a retorque at 10 miles, 100, then every rotation
I would recommend to put some anti seize on the back end of the spacer that contacts the rotor. When I did a break job on the Tacoma I ended up having to use a cold chisel to get the spacers off due to corrosion. Lesson learned there

So anti-seize in between the spacer and the rotor and loctite on the studs? Better make sure I don’t mix them up! Haha

Been running spacers for 10 years now. Currently been running 2'' Amazon spacers, no issues. Never have used loctite or antisieze between the rotor.

looks like where they make contact with the wheel, maybe those spacers weren't torqued properly, and caused some rubbing or movement, wearing the coating off?

Yes possibly…. Doesn’t explain the discoloration on the outside. That has contact with nothing.maybe brake fluid or road salt as I drive to Tahoe a lot. But it’s only two of them.

are they both in the front or both in the rear, or both on one side of the truck?

No idea. Had my wife’s wheels installed on my truck as she had wheels and tires put on her 4Runner.

so I looked again, and realized that I was seeing it inverted. The areas with the discoloration are actually the exposed parts, and the area where its still blue, are where the wheel contacts the spacer. so its likely exposure to something, either road salt, or some chemical, like brake fluid, which I know is a really strong paint stripper.

Exactly……..was going to post them up for sale just wanted some feedback as to opinions as to what could cause this. Thanks for the insight.
