All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
F that App in the A!

I am 43, got a degree in animation and VFX for film. My whole life revolves around computers and tech. Worked as an AD for too long.

Would give it all up if I could live like it was the 90s again…

Got an alert today that I had never seen before telling me to ‘check the back seat’. I was confused because I had no idea for what or why.

Google said its a remind feature to prevent pets, kids or groceries etc being left behind.

Went outside to check and yup, I completely forgot a case of yogurt I had purchased hours earlier and left on the floor. Weird because I had made several trips after that , but it still knew I opened the back door once, but not again after I returned home. Good thing I dont have kids or pets…

Um the ability to do the very basic stuff Toyota does has been around a long time lol. The app is nice so you can start it 5 minutes before work is out if it’s chilly that day or leaving in the morning. Old people tend to get carried away with the conspiracy theories a bit to much. I’m in my 40’s and like the app, but I have nothing to hide and already in the system anyways….

Heck I am 70 and like it for the truck. Might not if I was a drug dealer. We can't stop this anymore from happening but some of the stuff is nice to know for me. Your cell phone tracks you, has records of all your calls what you look at on line and not even connected to your car? I don't personally like all the collection of information on my computer but it is every where now. Just being here I see tons of TACO Adds on my computer?? I don't carry a phone because I like to be out of contact and hate phones? Just me so I won't get used to having one. Bugs me seeing people on them all the time eating food, walking or talking out loud in stores till you see there on a phone. People don't sit and talk much anymore just play with there phone a lot?

Thing is, if you’re worried about being tracked, you shouldn’t be carrying a mobile phone is the first place. Everything else is pretty much moot after that.

I love the app and will pay the $80 a year to keep it going.
In the winter, I can start my truck from my desk at work when I leave and by the time I make it to the parking lot it's nice and warm.
The whole shutting off when you open the door thing sucks though.
