Yeah. Reason why I have the flatbed.
The first picture shows how everything just pulls away. If you do install bedstiffeners I would try to somehow get a big ass washer or metal bar behind to better brace it.

What about a cross bar at the top the top triangulates downward. Once at camp, the joint in the middle pivots up and it's awning supports?

So I had the total chaos bed stiffeners and I also had corner brackets too on the back wall. The issue is how the bedsides mount to the fibreglass bed. The metal bedside, with weight, will begin collapse on itself. This is because it’s not like a standard bed where it’s a big c channel on the bed rail. Ours is a very flimsy angle piece. With the fibreglass flex of the bed and the sheet metal bending with off-road use it’s unfortunately pretty common.

edit: even with bed bars which brace the bed across this does still occur.

Exactly why I’m still on the fence about gettin a cap. With the flex these trucks have attaching a cab has gotta be different than the other trucks I’ve owned. Still not sure what I’m gonna do.

May I introduce SRN-1, bring some beer and I can cut it, then 2 90-degree bends and connect with the main tube. We shall call it SRN-2 :sawzall::welder:

But it wouldn’t matter, it all going into the trees.:pout:

Stiffeners help because without them, it would be a lot worse but, it still moves. Mine have moved with the stiffeners as well.

$190 shipped to a commercial shipping depot in Port Huron, MI. Was $285 if I shipped to a residential in the US. Not sure if they ship to Canada.

10-4. You've painted a good picture of the problem. Sounds like needs a whole sub frame and upper brackets by the sounds of it. Or a tray.

shipping isn't too horrible. Well i look forward to seeing your review on them then!

The straight cut versions (which is most HC bumpers) seem a bit of an eye sore to me. Functionally they're great and probably better then the tilt. but i just wanted something more

    Back to the SRN-2 Bumper.
So 3 cases of beer and lets say a box or 2 of Pizza. Meat lovers with extra cheese sound good?

Lets set a date some time.
