SAE legal aux high beams

I wired them to a three way switch through a relay with fuse taps from low and high beam. I can run them with low beam off road, but way to bright for on road with any traffic around. Can also have them off. Some pictures of output here

Good man. Few people aggravate me more than those running around with off road lights on pointed directly at oncoming retinas.

 

And those who lift their truck and forget to redirect their headlights. However, this seems to be more the Chevy and Ford people.

 

Pulled my leaf pack apart and went down to option 2 from 3 for daily driving since I removed my canopy and tent. Added the airbags for the FWC.

Does the bullbar give you any sensor issues?

 

SSO said on their website it shouldn't interfere. In ~2hr highway driving using the sensor, it seemed just fine.

Very happy with this bumper for the clearance it gives while retaining the factory fog location.

 

My auto dimming headlights will detect reflection off street signs and shut off.

I stopped using them.

 

The sensitivity could be set too high. I have not had that happen before.

 

Eh, I've never cared for auto dimming highbeams anyway, especially those in oncoming traffic. I'll probably never use them

 

Ya I think it all depends on the weight. Honestly I don’t know what exactly I got on the rear, I’m estimating 2 - 2 1/2 on the front. These pics can show the difference the top is from a month ago pre install

My 2017Forte5 SX has them as well as the Taco so both are set to Auto On mostly because my spouse has a tendency to forget to turn on the headlights so it saves me mentioning it. Cause you know how that might go.

 

I think that little dome in the speaker grill is the outside light sensor, for interior and auto headlights?

 

I've never been a fan of them. I can see oncoming lights on the outside curb of a bend and manually dim my lights long before the sensor catches their lights as we meet on the bend a moment after blinding them.

 

Yes sir. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago......lead time is a bit much, but worth it.

 

Just like every time I mention keyless ignition and everybody thinks I'm talking about remote start, whenever I mention auto dimming headlights people think I'm talking about automatic headlights.
