He basically jumped ahead of the line of paying customers (some of whom apparently ordered before he even had a Tacoma), got a version that either isn't yet officially for sale or in production, and then him and/or MC played the "this has nothing whatsoever to do with him being an influencer or YT celebrity or whatever" card.

That's not at all what I was referring to at all. I assumed the MC kit was being produced with how many I have seen now.

I was basing my comment off of his ext/collapsed length. 23.75 Ext & 17.625 Collapsed is only 6.125" of shock stroke. There are a lot more variables to consider but it makes me question what the kit actually cycles. Now I haven't messed around with the MC kit and he did mention you could potentially get more travel if you move the factory bump so there are a lot of unknowns here. Just something that caught my attention.

Anyway, enough negativity about a kit you can't buy yet. Let's talk about this Lakebed meetup!

Dude, be careful with those. I had 4 of those on my truck and if they aren't aimed properly you could blind someone.

Oh I know! Once I finish getting the tabs glued on I’ll align the beams where they should be

Yesterday I dropped by the YT channel and saw Bryce Menzies running around his truck trying to fix something. Anyone know what went down? Commentators were thinking it was a driveline. Any of you know wassup? Those trophy trucks are badass.

Had a ball joint failure at race mile 38 on day 1 of prerunning. Actually destroyed both upper ball joints waited for parts to arrive from Escondido and then went out to repair it that night since it was sitting on course and the following day was a hot race of trophy trucks.
you can see the hi lift holding the truck up. It was a cold hammers this year had to build a fire at 2 in the afternoon to keep warm and wait on support trucks.

this was after cougar buttes right before dropping back into the desert section. Not a bad spot for lunch at all. The UTV and Chevy prerunner took all bypasses while we took actual race course all day. Did turkey claw, cougar buttes and all of the desert section of the course for the 4600 class.

We had a blast out there. Very cool drive by and helicopter shots by desert 1. Next year we’ll explore some more.

You blew up two EMF joints? Were they not tight or something?

They were tight. They were installed in august, re checked after a couple hundred miles and added torque check to them. Never had an issue until we ran 38 miles at KOH at race pace. Shit happens and we will improve the design for race purposes.
After installing 2 new EMF joints never had another issue. Could have been my installation or timing or faulty joints. Regardless the new set saw another 100 miles on the lakebed without issue.
I add cross check torque seal to every bolt and connection the bolt still had the cross check on it and the ball joint sheared where the threads meet the shank

No doubt. Ran for 8 days after the failure without a single other issue. She mobs across 3’ whoops at 55-60 like a champ. If you guys are on the fence of fox versus king I highly recommend the fox setup Shane put together for these kits
