    OP, Question:
When you stabbed the new transmission and transfer case in and bolted it up. Did all the original wire clips from the stock transmission hook back up the same? Did you have to clear any codes with the ECU? I guess was it an unplug the od, swap out for new and hook back up the same??

Yes it’s a straight up swap, everything plugs back up the same way. No codes

I'm sure they are just as good. If i literally didn't buy yesterday, i would be adding them to yet another Toyota part list for the last bit of things I forgot. carrier assm. didnt have rear mount bracket or hardware.‍...

I may have asked this before on another thread? Im looking to replace the u joints in the front axle i purchased before install. I had thought my findings were correct, but it looks like the rear shaft u joints are larger and deff wont fit properly with retainer clips... NAPA guy at the time wasnt sure.
Thoughts? I can find the other part number without going into the dealership...I referenced the vin off the donor truck front axle.

You need the part number of the u-joints in the front drive shaft? If so, moog 325 is the one for the front driveshaft, same at the front diff and front transfer case. If my research is accurate Toyota PN should be: 0437104044

Referencing the pic on #84 page 5
The two wires coming out of trans case one green one black.
Can you tell me which is which?
I also use the clips you modified to. Just was curious what wires to add length to that run up to the instrument cluster? Sorry if thats confusing, i get what you did just not sure of the hot vs ground.
Can these be tested outta the truck?
    Thanks

Just extend wires coming off tcase and run them up to the instrument cluster. They are not positive and negative. They are sensor wires. All you shave to do is run to cluster. The pins indicated are in the pic. I just stuck mine in bare wires and have had on for almost 2 years now with no problems.

I dont remember which was which but I used a multimeter in continuity mode and put one lead across each solenoid wire. Shift the transfer case into 4hi and check each solenoid until you hear the multimeter beep. That will be your 4hi solenoid then do the same for 4lo. Once you figure out the solenoids, ground one side to the transfer case and run the other wire to your IP.

Ahh i see! Our trucks dont have a loom under the truck to hook the connectors to. You plugged into them and extended the wires to the cluster!

    Good idea with the mutimeter.
    Thanks Fellas

There are not hot wires in there. They are ground. The dash has the “hot side” for the lights to come on. The wires will provide a path to ground once you go into 4H or 4L. Those switches are known as normally open switches that (as I mention before) when you move the lever they will complete the circuit. Let me know if any question arises.
