As there should be, it’s so tragic what happened. I can’t begin to imagine the pain of those close to them.

It sucks that the building was abandoned. It feels like they were lost over something that honestly could have been contained and not entered. I could be wrong because I wasnt there, I just feel there was maybe a way to not endanger their lives.

The kicker is that “abandoned” buildings have people living in them so frequently in Baltimore. One of my friends is on the BCFD so I’m always seeing posts of his of “this is why we search”. It’s pretty sad the living conditions of these homeless people.

The Texas power grid is struggling but holding up so far. Thanks for your concerns. Temps are expected to drop more but so far we have not frozen.

I got the light controller mostly installed today. Just need to make some brackets for the back end to JB weld it on the inside. It’s currently just held in place with pressure from the edge trim.

How do you run your wires from outside to inside?

I'm going to drill a hole in the roof, add a grommet, cut the wires, fish them through, and resolder (it's only 3 wires). If I didn't want to drill a hole, I would run them down the side channel of the windshield, into the engine bay, through the firewall and up to the controller.

Shout out to The Lair dwellers, and of course #randyFAB...for providing, amongst the shenanigans and BS, insight, tips and tricks on maintaining and inspecting different parts, systems, etc. related to Betty, and other Tacos.

I have harnessed many an insight from here and TW in general, and it was very apparent this past weekend while I was assessing my 14yr old DD civic and the shaking, jarring steering issues and vibration/harmonics I started experiencing late last year...did the easy stuff first: tire rotation and balance - didn't fix it; alignment - didn't need much if any aligning...then figured it was time to throw it up on the 2pt lift.

The civic hybrid has 194,000+ mi. and it went up on the lift yesterday...here's the fix list I worked up:

    Replacing ORIGINAL:
    • Front Coils and Struts (R+L)
    • Front (lower) Control Arms (entire swapout w/bushings and ball joints) (R+L)
    • Rear Struts (R+L)
    • Tie Rod End (R)
    • Rotors
Replacing now worn out replaced parts:
    • Tie Rod End (L)
    • Brake Pads (R+L)
Now hopefully it'll all arrive before the weekend, so I can knock it while it's all taken apart! Sure looks like a walk in the park compared to most of what BW deals with on a weekly or monthly basis over the last few years!!

The Republic of Texas will take care of all of your power needs. They have said that they are going to sever from the US grid and start burning Texas Oil to power the state.
