To each his own I suppose. 2.5" isn't a small lift on these trucks though, it's actually pretty close to the limit unless there are drop brackets or longer control arms involved.

You could do a 1" spacer lift (0.5" spacer) to use up that 1" of extra droop capability in the rest of the components without over extending them. That would be just a small lift that wouldn't cause so many other expensive problems.

I guess if you're just going to baby it on the road and avoid all those potholes as if you were driving a prius, then whatever

Alpharex Nova series for 12-15 tacoma. They are impressive for aftermarket LED headlights.

This was the one I used. There’s also amber turns available if that’s what you want. Install was easy. You have the option of either using the supplied doubled sided tape to secure the whole thing down or use clips. Since we need access to lower the spare tire, the LED light would get in the way. So I used the supplied clips and attached them to the truck with 3M VHB tape I had laying around from a previous trailer build. For the wiring, I actually tapped into the truck towing harness since reverse and both turns were all in one nice place.

Hit 99,000 miles and did my spark plugs, oil change and oil filter, and the turkey baster drain and fill on the power steering. Also installed some Redline Tuning hood struts and swapped out the paracord on the Softopper window mod for some metal eyelets. Still got a few more 100,000ish miles maintenance items to do later in the week, plus determine if I want to do a drain and fill or a flush on the transmission fluid.

Not rushing it and I still need to confirm some of the wiring before install.
Too cold to do anything outside so this is a perfect project for this time of year.

This is kinda random but are there any muscle car/American sports car threads? I have a kit car with a crate engine I gotta ask some questions about.

I agree. With a 2.5" spacer lift the amount of downtravel is at a minimum. Avoid potholes is an understatement. The truck has got be singin' skipidee-doo-dah... lol.
