The harness arrived today...the headlights arrive tomorrow! My buddy is aware...he has to sign for them.

I'm not doing this right away as this winter weather will make it challenging with the brittle plastic.

Current temp here is 26F, feels like 17F. We'll just see if the weather cooperates.

Update...headlights are delayed in SC...arriving tomorrow by end of day.

The weather is supposed to be real bad for the south.

Be sure to inspect them for any broken tabs when they arrive. Also, if you're not planning on installing them for a while I'd plug them into the harness and make sure they work.

I will be inspecting the OEM LED headlights tomorrow...a friend received them at his house today...he knows I'm married...lol!

Current temp is 34F, feels like 29F.

Here's the rest of the week's forecast:

    Mon - 41/29 possible rain (50%)
    Tue - 46/24 partly cloudy
    Wed - 49/32 party cloudy
    Thu - 51/28 partly cloudy
    Fri - 50/38 partly cloudy
    Sat - 53/27 partly cloudy
    Sun - 33/19 partly cloudy

I'd have to do this on Dover AFB Auto Hobby Shop and rent a stall without lift for either $6/hr, Bench work $3/hr. I've always used stall with lift so I'm thinking $3/hr for a stall without lift is considered Bench work.

Thursday looks like a good day. I'll keep you guys posted how this goes.

    I'm excited too!

My buddy brought both boxes and we will do the handoff after I get off work today.

I've got a storage unit to put them in today and will inspect them...I'm confident they are packed securely but still checking for broken tabs.

Refreshing my update: The FBC harness was delivered on Saturday and they look immaculate. (Thx Dave!)

Auto Hobby Shop at DAFB is closed on Mondays. Appointments only Tue/Wed and Thu they are open 1-8pm.

I've been watching Chloe's video at least 3 times and feel confident I can do this in less than 2hrs...just giving myself a buffer because it will take at least an hour.

I'll report back later this week.

OMG, Eric...didn't mean to diss you!

    LOLOLOL

Yours was very detailed including the way the fender had been lodged into the bolt groove which made it difficult to pop out!

I remember that just as I type this...I hadn't forgotten.

I'm trying to get a condensed version as I will have to do this install before I get home. I'm trying to keep my wife from busting my nuts for this upgrade...catch my drift?

Trust me, I remember some of the quirks of the fender removal you identified. I'm just trying to get this done in a timely manner before I get home. I'll be at my desk for OT at work (supposedly) to accommodate my time at the Auto Hobby Shop.

Picking up what I'm putting down? lol

EDIT: I remember someone busting on you for talking about making a video suggesting you aren't a cute Asian girl.

I’d love to be a fly in Ed’s truck the first time that his wife rides in it at night.

Why Ed honey, your headlights are much brighter than before, what did you do honey?

Ummm, ahhhh, welllll, I put in a light “booster”, yea yea, that’s it, a light “booster”, that’s
    the difference.

Well Ed, how much did that cost?

Cost, cost, ummmmmm, not much, not much at all. The enhanced safety is priceless dear, priceless!

You’re safe with the taco brotherhood Ed, we know nothing and even if we did
    we’re not talking!

    Buahahahaha!

I'm laughing right now but let me tell you, my wife can turn on a dime with her eyes and flaring pointy nose! LOL

When she discovered I removed the Air Dam, she was taken back by the white/red lettering TRD skid plate...after I told her I removed the Air Dam she was like, "and that was under there?"

My reply, "why yes it was under there."

She has a idea that I'm doing stuff to my truck and is paying attention to the look of my truck. I may have to remind her about the items she bought me for Christmas 2021...stuff I ordered and she was ok with the $200 purchase:

    Bed Lights - $50.57
    Bed Mat - $83.09
    Black Wheel Locks - $38.95
    Shipping - $28.95

    Total - $201.56

I did the Tailgate Lock ($129.41 + $11 shipping) install in the driveway back in Oct. That's not one she'll notice even now.

I think after the purchases of:

    HDX Sidesteps - $539
    Mud Flaps - $57
Chrome Black Exhaust Tip - $45
    Quicklift - $129

She was a little perturbed after I did all those purchases soon after I brought my Sport home.

Thanks for keeping this under the radar fellas...our trucks make us happy and when we're happy, we spend a good chunk of change on a new kitchen remodel in excess of $50K. I'm just sayin'....

I don’t even want to start adding up my mods but one of these days I will.

My wife and I have joint checking and savings accounts as well as each having separate accounts.
We don’t question what either of us spends our separate money on. She wants to spend 2K on a
petrified camel turd that’s fine with me! She doesn’t question my purchases and I don’t question hers.
This system has worked well for us. (I might get an eye roll from time to time but that’s it!) Truck mods, guns, knives
and mechanical watches (I’m a moderator on The Rolex Forums) are my weak points.

Out joint accounts are a different story though. Generally anything over $500 and we let the other one know.
