Idk why everyone is so critical lol. It’s basically just a front leveling kit that I did and the ride feels exactly the same. I’ve even hit potholes on purpose today and bumps and still feels fine the suspension still feels soft. The rear is all still stock height. The geometry of everything looks damn near the same. I understand if I was making a rock crawler or off road mud mobile then yes I’d want a true suspension lift set up. ( also nobody seems to read. I said I’m slowly saving for a really nice coil over kit to do it myself.) The leveling kit was a challenge for me to make sure I could handle taking everything apart and putting it all back together without messing anything up. Which I succeeded. If I hit a pothole and snap a shock I’ll get on here and take pics and say y’all were right… but for now I don’t see all the fuss about a leveling kit.

Everyone is so critical because they've read 1,001 times spacer lifts are junk and/or they actually know the limits of the stock Tacoma Upper Control Arm.

I had a 3" lift spacer on the front of my Tacoma for almost 2 years and it had stock PreRunner struts and 36" tires. If you shop around you'll discover that 3" is the tallest front strut spacer lift that's available for the Tacoma. The reason 3" is the tallest is because the UCA balljoint runs out of downward travel at 3" of spacer lift due to the angle of the balljoint. At 2.5" of front strut spacer lift you've got minimal downward travel at the upper ball joint. The reason my truck didn't ride horrible is because I installed aftermarket UCA's that were specifically engineered to have more downward balljoint travel than a stock UCA. I did drive my truck with the front strut spacer lift and without aftermarket UCA's and it rode horrible.

If your front geometry looks the same before and after the 2.5" front strut spacer lift then you installed the spacer on the wrong side of the upper strut mount because that's literally the only way the angles wouldn't change, if that's the case you're a genius because I can't figure out how the spacer could be installed on the wrong side of the upper strut mount.

I'm happy you accepted the challenge of modding your truck and achieved results that you are happy with because ther reality is that you are the only one that counts on the opinion of your truck and its mods.

Now let's get to the part that it seems everyone ignores most of the time. You've changed where your front suspension operates at which means the front bump stop is never going to be used, instead your front struts will bottom out internally which is something they're not designed to do. If they get bottomed out enough or hard enough eventually the front struts will break in half.

Obviously the fix for a 2.5" spacer lift would be 2.5" ball joint spacers (JK)

Both spacer are exactly the same so idk how they could be wrong. Some of y’all I really question if you actually do you own stuff or just repeat what you read in the forums with no actual skin in the game yourself. Just like the yamaha fz1 forum and people scaring others into getting things they don’t need. Just saying

Spacer lifts are fine. Most domestic trucks run them because they are easier and cheaper then getting a real lift. TO each either own and I'm glad you like how it came out. I don't blame you one bit for going this route till you get a good suspension lift. Don't let everyone get under your skins. I'm sure most of them have dealt with one aspect or another regarding this but there is also a lot of negativity around spacer lifts because of all the down sides with about the only positive you get more wheel gap in your wheel well. I would say you'll be just fine if your planning on changing your set up in a couple years. just look over it once in a while especially if you hit some big bumps or potholes.

Lol wow! A real educated response . Some of these guys just pose with other people trucks as their profile picture and like to complain when they read something they don’t agree with or know nothing about. That dude earlier told me I put them in the wrong side or backwards . When they are exactly the same!

I’ve been doing business with this shop quite a while now . They have a little of my money . Honest guys . This is cheaper than a new truck ,that’s how I’m looking at it . I only have 143000 miles on her and new frame and suspension. Religiously serviced since I bought it new  I don’t want to spend $40+K on a new one although it would be nice :D

I don't need spacers for my ball joints, At something past 50, I need ball shorteners. Or at least some gimmick to lower the water in the toilet bowl. FFS...

Little bit of this and that
Final pieces of the puzzle arrived today to hopefully get these installed this weekend. Took a bit of research to figure out what eyelets would make this work.
