Firearm BS thread

I've been eyeballing a Naga LEAF as a good midlayer for my backpacking gear for a while now, but I've never really seen it go on sale, and when I can wear North Face, Columbia, Mountain Hardwear or any number of other brands for a fraction of the cost, it makes it hard to justify spending so much. Maybe someday.

 

I'm on lots of forums for all my hobbies. Hiking/backing is one of them. So backpackinglight.com, white blaze, etc....lots of places to find basically new gear for a fraction of the cost new.
That being said, those other brands you mention are also fine quality brands which I own too. And have paid more for some of my Mountain hardwear stuff than any other gear b/c their stuff ain't cheap either.

 

I'm asian... my beard skills are weak at best.

 

I used to live in CO. I think they issued me a flannel when I crossed the state line. From there it just stuck I guess.

 

Don't feel bad, I'm white as can be and mine would be bad as well.

Hahaha I already do it seems like! It's like I'll be fucking up my truck, need to look something up, then 3 hours later I find myself still on the forum and completely forgot why which ever project I'm mutilating is on blocks

 

Getting that time I gotta renew my CPL (concealed carry). Gotta genew ever 4 years in Michigan. Got into a class surprising quickly.

 

I just renewed mine today, got to get some stuff notarized and send it in now. Didn’t know that until I filled everything out online and submitted payment. They emailed me the stuff to fill out. Here it’s every 5 years.

 

Same here, I filled out all my renewal forms and it wasn't until the end that I realized I had to take a class. I thought I did, but there was no info on the Michigan website about having to do it.

Basically just have to sit down for 4 hours and they go over the laws again. No shooting or anything like the first.

If this range works out where I am taking the class I'm gonna take more defensive shooting classes because it's so close to me. It just opened and will be good to not have to drive an hour to find a range like that. The staff was pretty nice when I stopped by.

I can't believe Sheriff is even wasting time following up since this has been an ongoing issue. With our sheriff I'm almost certain the conversation with the caller would be "I'm sorry it's disturbing you but it's not illegal so have a good evening."
