It seems like every time I go wheeling about 1/3 of my beers end up getting dented and leaking in the cooler. Ice seems to make the problem worse.

How do you guys keep your 18 pack from turning into a 12 pack inside the cooler?

The closer your cooler is to your cab the less violence is imparted upon it.

If I leave my cooler near the tailgate, there will be no beer left

18 pack for a day of wheeling? Don’t think I want to be on the same roads or trails when you’re out there. Also in all my years of driving on back roads, 4x4 trails and every other type of terrain I never had a beer or soda can in a cooler rupture and leak the contents. If you’re driving the Baja 500 I could see that happening. But a day of wheeling?? Something ain’t right.

Agreed, I maybe lose a can every once in a while, but it's so uncommon I can't remember the last time it happened. I do keep my Yeti Tundra 35 close to the cab and i use the center divider. Maybe that provides enough immobilization that it saves my Truly...uhhhh...no...beers.

I usually camp after wheeling and there's not a whole to do around a campfire other than drink beer. 18 beers split between two people isn't that much.

One of you needs to stay home or bring more brew.

The key is to bring more beer so that it packs tighter into the cooler.
