I'm hoping for continued excitement like the other Playoff games.

I fear we will be punished with a bad game after being spoiled the last month. But hopefully I’m wrong, like usual.

 

Hopefully Not!

I did see a report reminding SB watchers that Joe Burrow, in only 3 years, has won a National Championship, Heisman Trophy and led his NFL team to the SB.

Matt Stafford on the other hand, started his NFL career in 2009 with the Detroit Lions until 2020. His experience/tenure is what may give him the advantage but then again, the other guy is so cool under pressure.

I'm thinking of Jim McMahon with the cool shades worn during interviews and Under Pressure by Queen/David Bowie.

Burrow wore shades for recent interview and of course the song speaks for itself.

As Troy Aikman stated before the Rams/Niners game:

"In Playoff football, it's the player who makes the fewest mistakes."

Both QBs were a little reckless in their respective Conference games. It's the one who makes the least errors in decision making who will more than likely win.

I'm gonna go with Matt Stafford even though it would be amazing if Joe Burrow accomplished something even Tom Brady never did.

The day has finally arrived. There's been some previews of commercials for today's game and they better be worth the almost $7M price tag.

That companies are able to pay this out should really tell us something about our country. But I digress.

As for the game, last year's Champion won in their home stadium...will it happen again this year?

This game can go either way...both defenses get after the QB with powerful motion. It's going to be tough to stand in the pocket and block out what's around them and focus on an open receiver.

If a lane opens up because the receivers pulled all the DBs downfield, which guy is gonna automatically/instinctively take the running lane and avoid a hit?

Practice & classroom discussion are over--if you don't know your game plan now, you'll never know it.

I know we focus more on the Offense & Defense but Special Teams can be impactful too. Watch for possible errors on Kick-offs and Punts.

I'll be rooting for the Rams but like I said, if Joe Burrow & the Bengals can pull it off, Joe will be the only player ever to accomplish 3 milestones in as many years.
