All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Gonna buy a PortCity Amp to match pair with the cab I got from him.

Thoughts on if I should match the cab I got or should I black out the head?

    His site:
    https://portcityamps.com/

here is the one I am looking at: Thoughts?

I would match it. I remember when you posted that cab up awhile back. That thing is sweet.

Yeah man, he is just up the road from you in Black Mountain NC. Quality is sick! I think I will get the 50w, the 100 is overkill for my use.

That black is pretty sweet. It's a win win. None of my heads and cabs match.

Can anyone else tell me anything about the Stan Hinesley pick-ups? Anyone have/had them or have any experience with them? The guy told me that they are hand-made/wound. The for sure are a bit hot. Its great for metal. I just have very little knowledge about them and figured I'd ask.

Interesting. I had been googling the pickup but not his name, by itself. I read the bio, which was cool (about the pickups). I saw some other results about someone of that name who had been arrested. Dunno if that was the same guy. Regardless, the pick-ups are pretty wild. I like them. Just didn't know if anyone else had them or tried them.

Yea, it was kinda an odd read. Like he was replying to someone and then someone was telling us about him. idk. So any plans of swapping them out? I honestly only care for 1 hot, high gain pup and thats the screw bobbin head golden 50 schallers in the early 80's or hex head bobbin golden 50 2 in 1. I prefer low gain.

Ya I noticed that too lol. It was a little strange, in that respect...And honesty I will probably leave it as-is. But it does somewhat punish sloppy playing. The previous owner told me there was a give/take with the set up. Mich heavier sounding than my Jackson or 333. It sounds good on cleans too but again, if you aren't precise with your transitions, it can make you sound sloppy. So i guess I will just try to use it as a tool to help technique. I think the neck pick-up still has a warmer sound, I am honestly not sure the specs or anything.
