Yeah that’s not a problem. I’d recommend putting some tape over the unused connector, though. That way none of the terminals accidentally come into contact with anything. Might reduce any rattles as well.

I ordered front and back from VLED last night and they shipped today. I don't use the rear much to necessitate lighting, but i'd rather do it all in one shot.

Well that was a busy day at Hotshot HQ getting out footwell kits! USPS folks gave me "the look" when I rolled in last minute with a bunch of kits in tow. BUT THE TW FOLKS NEED THESE! Got almost all of them out today, and we appreciate all of you!

We've got everything but red ones left ON HAND and will ship same or next day. More red should be here in just a few weeks!

Thanks man! I feel for the postal workers. Every holiday I give the USPS a $100 gift card, and the two UPS people get the same. There is always 2 around that time. I even went in and gave our old driver (they switched his route just before the holidays) a gift card too. FedEx never has the same drivers, ever. They have to travel from Kalispell and swap the load up here with like 4 rented trucks and personal vehicles. I feel for em, but I can't afford that much lol. Sorry FedEx.

Can't wait to get mine though. Hopefully the weather is forgiving and I can have a warmer day to install.

Looks great! I haven’t actually seen the red ones in person. Is that with the PWM adjuster all the way to the dimmest setting (turned counterclockwise)?

The dimmest setting was too low in my opinion, so I adjusted them to somewhere in the middle, the camera makes it look brighter than it is.

I am supposed to receive my lights on Wed. Does anyone have a link or suggestions on how to do front and rear lights cleanly?

I saw the picture directions for the front but have not found the rear light install.

Apologies ahead of time if I just missed it.

    Thank you.

There are no hard instructions for the rear. We are still working on that. I only have an access cab available so I’m not entirely able to expedite the process.

    What I suggest:
Run the wires from the passenger footwell into the passenger kick panel area and then under the scuff panel to the rear of the truck. Pop them out near the rear seats. Attach the lights to the lip of the rear seats. This is just a suggestion, but doing it this way might illuminate more of the rear footwell instead of attaching it to the back of the front seats. It should illuminate the footwell + the cargo area when you flip the seats up I think. It’s just an idea we’ve tossed around. You’d need some adhesive zip tie anchors.

How long is the wiring towards the rear?

I was thinking of something similar, but instead of the seat, I would put on the lip of the under seat storage bins. It won't be down firing, but at least I won't have it attached to a moving part.
    sketch-1644317808132.jpg

If you want to be super stealthy, you can run wires under the carpet and through the holes under the storage bins. You can daisy chain them under there too, so no exposed wires.sketch-1644318236920.jpg

Just made a quick measurement on a rear kit here. Primary leads for the rear kits are 76". Then you have the little tails off of the light bars themselves and they are ~3".

    Thank you!

So bout 6.5ft worth of line. That is a lot of wire, might be just enough to turn the rears into bed lights lol.

You'd be amazed at how quickly a guy can run out of wire length when you start weaving it in and around things... I'd much rather have too much and be forced to find a place to tuck it up.
