It's been fun, but I just bought a 2022 4Runner!

4Runner is the only vehicle I would consider giving up a truck for. Always loved them. Had an 87, 2004, and wife has a 2018 Limited. Was very close to taking hers and getting her something different. Wish I still had that 87. Was gutless but would go through absolutely anything.

I came within a pubic hair of getting a TRD Pro 4Runner. It was a back and forth battle. But at the end of the day, I guess I’m just a pickup truck sort of guy (been driving them for 30+ years). That said, I can definitely see when I replace this truck, it being with a 4Runner.

    Good luck and enjoy it.

Neighbor has one - every time the wife and I drive by it she's like, ... I like the look of that 4-Runner ....

I suspect before it's all over with we'll have one in the future - can't go wrong with that vehicle...

Frankly, I was worried the refresh would go the route most do with smaller engines and less towing capacity. Towing capacity is a big thing for me so I wanted to get this done before the refresh.

We are a 4runner/taco family. Both trucks do many of the same jobs. But both trucks do certain jobs much better then the other... your dog is gunna love that roll down back window bro!

    Congrats

I as well have both. I particularly like the Limited's full-time TC, as it's great for mixed road conditions. My only complaint about the Limited is the 20" wheels, which I plan to replace with TRDs once the stock tires are used up.

The 4R is just a solid built vehicle, great visibility, interior space, and comfortable for road trips. I can't imagine getting rid of it, ever.

Ha! Pretty much the same line of thought all the way around too. I was figuring on about 10 to 12 years as well. I’ll be retired by then and a 4Runner would be a nice fit at that point. There likely will be no references to any hair follicles at that time :D

Just spent 15 weeks with a 2021 T4R SR5 Premium loaner, loved everything about it except the MGM color. It must be the most popular choice because I walked to the wrong one a few times in parking lots.

Congrats. 4Rs are great. I think being built in Japan really shows compared to the Tacoma’s made in Texas/Mexico. IMHO the 4R is a better built machine with much better comfort. Being I’m a tight ass I refuse to pay more than 30k for a vehicle so getting a newer 5th gen is out of the equation for me unfortunately, but I do get to drive my fiancé’s 17 all the time lol
