Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Secured my spare tire, bolted it under my toolbox. Tires are BFG KO2, 265 75 16.

I also have a second spare under the truck. I always take 2 spares as I am on 30 or more solo remote trips each year throughout southern and central British Columbia. I have had an incident where 2 tires blew the same day, so not going through that again.

Pretty simple. The tire slides under my toolbox with 1/16 inch to spare. I have the 6 foot bed (access cab), and with the tire under the toolbox I still have room in front and behind the toolbox to store all of my camping and fishing gear. I throw a 10 foot Lund on top of my Thule Xporter racks.

Drilled 2 holes into the bottom of the toolbox. Slide 2 1/2 inch carriage bolts up through the underside through the tire bolt holes and secured with washers and nuts. Going to get some locking nuts tomorrow.

Added the plywood to strengthen the bottom of the toolbox so it does not bend too much when tightening things up.

Just hand tightened, then a 1/2 turn with a wrench. No worries about any damage to the steel rim on the spare due to any flexing. The toolbox will do any flexing as it is only 1/8 inch thick steel.

Simple, works. Makes it a bit harder for thieves who are lazy or don't have the time due to other appointments.

Those are great lights! I use those all around my yard to scare off raccoons, bear, and the occasional sasquatch!
I also take them with when camping. The motion sensor really comes in handy!

Ordered the OEM mat for the long bed, hopefully my recovery gear and stuff will stop moving around every time I take a turn!

No, mall crawling is reserved for wanna-be-lifted Tacoma's with so much aftermarket stuff hung on them that they can't get out of their own way, which makes them perfect mall crawlers, and I see a lot of them on the forum. :brianr:

If only more people were that way with fenders and mud flaps.
So many 4x4 guys with their aggressive tires sticking 6" out of the fenders and no flaps throwing gravel everywhere.
I saw a guy in a Chevy this weekend and the entire tire was out the side.
When I installed my lift and 285's I had to go to larger flares and rokblokz because I never wanna be "That Guy"

Not who you’re asking but they appear to be 2nd gen boards that aren’t supposed to fit but they seem to fit great on the 3rd gen. It’s what I have on my ‘19. 0F03FAD5-7090-453A-9137-F48D368C54FF.jpg

Glad to hear it! I do as well. I will also cancel the headlights when I approach the guarded gate. I want the MPs to see me and not be on edge about "who is this blaringbright vehicle approaching?"

I once had a driveway that was higher than the neighbor across the street. I hated to have my lights shine in her window so early in the morning (0430), so I waited to turn them on until I was out of the driveway & headed down the street. I suggested to a roomMate that he should do the same. He forgot to turn them on and got pulled over a few miles later.

Right on I was curious about that. Was a pretty good idea then I thought about the lack of sunlight due to the cover.

Glad to see more courteous drivers out there. I hate getting behind jacked up trucks with almost the entire wheel exposed and no flaps. Just slinging shit everywhere. And of course the asshat in the Jeep I pass every morning at 5am with 2 light bars, ditch lights, and high beams on... :censored:

Cut off the other steps and then they will become sliders. That what I wanted to do.
I dont like how far sliders stick out, I saw somone on here cut off the steps of their Predators and It didnt look to bad.
Are you gonna sell the Predators now? :anonymous:

When I was in I was always told that was standard procedure to kill your lights when approaching military checkpoints. I seem to remember seeing signs saying the same but I don't remember seeing those signs when I was working on an Airforce base. Hopefully your roommate got off with a warning :D
