Installed an Attero mount for a HS510, but Im not crazy about how high the optic was. So I ordered another Attero mount for a HS403 and should be happier this time around.

I’ve got one on my Ak74 and it’s great, I think I’ll be grabbing another one for my next build.

Yeah I think its a nice option since I want to keep the side folder. Just didnt like high the HS510 sat on the rail mount version. They posted a HS510 mount they were working on back in October that removed the QR mount on the optic and brought the optic way down, but it hasnt been released.

I finally got around to hogging out a pristine NOS Russian SKS stock to accept AK mags

So, I think I've spent a little too much time playing Escape From Tarkov. I replaced the SLR handguard and Ultimak gas tube on my SBR with Zenitco furniture (B30M, B31S, and B33). I couldn't find my original gas tube (it's been wearing the Ultimak since 2007 or so) so I bought a full size gas tube and cut it down and rounded out the gas block end with a 3/8" extension. Much easier process than I anticipated. I also added an ALG recoil spring and CNC Warrior 4 piece brake. I did have to add a crush washer for the brake. It was too loose when relying on just the muzzle detent pin for me to be comfortable with it.

I also happened to find a Bulgarian slab side mag in a box of 30 rounders that are still sealed in plastic. I have a Primary Arms GLx 2X inbound, but I'll have to wait until I get back from Arkansas to install it.

Detents and muzzle devices are supposed to be loose. They're not holding a suppressor on and the detent prevents the threads from backing off.

    Otherwise looks good

I’m ok with a little wiggle side to side, but this one wiggled a little in all directions.

I forgot to mention, with the Draco gas block I had to trim about 1/2” off of the top rail and shave a little off the sides to fit around the front sight. Also had to cut the front two ears off for the brake to fit. I probably would have been better off with a B10/B19 combo (or just a B19 top rail), but I wanted the extra length out front.

Was this gun previously setup for ak mags and you just changed the stock?

Yeah it's factory setup to take AK mags. I got it for free without a stock and gave up on finding an original so I went with the Russian one.

I've got an AK-302M but I've been trying to get my hands on one of those 301s for a long time now. I see them on auction all the time, but there's no way I'm paying $300 for one.
