Nice looking truck! Wish I could have picked one up in that color. What lightbar do you have in that Body Armor HiLine bumper?

I just got one myself and was attempting to determine if any 20" inch bar would fit or there were only specific ones.

    Oh look, another mod....
Thanks. I'm not 100% sure on the lightbar manufacturer, the shop that installed the bumper for me bought it online. It was $200 I think? And it's like 7000 Lumens?

Nobody cares about us ugly dudes. The compliment ratio of me driving my truck vs my gf driving my truck is extremely unbalanced. In the handful of times she driven my truck alone she gets gotten tons of compliments about the truck.

Every now and then at a gas station someone will say something. Once on a snow covered, narrow back road a fellow Tacoma driver stuck his head out the window as we were slowly passing each other, I rolled my window down, and we had a good conversation about how awesome our trucks are. I also notice a lot rubbernecking while I'm out and about.

Me thinks if one requires adulation for their vehicle they have a problem...just saying

Sometimes when it was stock. I’m 19 and I look much younger than my ago so people don’t usually say anything

When you use words I don't understand, like adulation, I take that as an insult.

Even non-truck people are attracted to the lunar rock color.
Particularly women tend to comment on it - which is great.

But in all seriousness, I don't think any of us are fishing for compliments. I personally find it odd and uncomfortable when I get random compliments in random places.

All the time. They love the army green and don't recognize the '21 look.

I get compliments, but its usually about the color of my truck and not what I have done to my truck.

Never, not once... Which I find odd coming from the Subaru community, which is very friendly.

The only adulation I get is a 1 finger salute when I drive past someone who is stuck in the snow. Or if I do offer help, I won't hook the tow rope to their vehicle they have to I don't want to be responsible if I tear something off or brake something. If they don't know what to hook to I'm out of there.

    smart, super smart - -

my e36 had a tow 'loop' that screwed right into the front bumper so you could do whatevers - but i bet most people have no freaking clue how to do such a thing correctly..

i have a 2nd gen and i get mad compliments + hateful looks when i am in the city
but i am a chick, who is kinda fit and has big boobs - so that explains all of that - EXCEPT that i keep getting females telling they like my truck, @ my local wal mart of all places.. that one confuses me a tad

ha my e90 also has this. a couple years ago I came back to the car and noticed someone had smashed into the front driver side of the car (thankfully they left their info), called for a tow, and screwed that tow hook in. the tow truck driver arrived and was shocked. he said in his 15 years hes only seen a handful of people that know what that is or that its even built into the vehicles. I think its a European thing as my moms Audi also has it

Well, i guess i have a secret admirer...my usps man. He's been keeping an eye on my tacoma in the driveway, finally stopping me a couple days ago asking if its for sale...he wants to buy it...love the truck. Told him its not for sale, but if it ever is, i'd give him a holler.
