I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but I'm more of a fun in the snowy mountains kind of guy (my wife too). Not really about that beach life. There is hiking and sky diving though, which I thoroughly enjoy. We might be going to North Carolina instead, in which case I'll resume modding the hell out of the truck

Try spearfishing, once you get your first fish you'll forget all about the mountains and snow.
Plus if you do get a Tacoma you can mod it Hawaiian style:)

My ears have issues when it comes to water. I've already had both sides of my skull rebuilt once because of an issue likely caused by swimming. I have a very hard time equalizing pressure.

That's terrible, I actually feel bad now.

My buddy dives with a mask that has tubes that go from his mask to ear cups... seems to help him but yours sounds extreme.

At least there's still pretty girls in bikinis!

PFL Customs roof rack, Body Armor Hi-line bumper. X20 Gen 2 Smittybilt winch, PFL Customs bed rack. Dirt bound rack supports.
Made another set of fuel can brackets and Molle panels, put the first set on a ZR2 for his winter drive to Alaska. Going to be making my drive soon and towing a trailer for the entire 3100 mile trek. But over all the whole set up worked good for him. The little yota that could is up next.

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that.
Since I've been stuck in classes all day, all I've done today is go through my camera roll, and I found some photos from when I first got my truck, and it's insane to me that it's already been a year since I picked it up. Even more insane when I look in my wallet and realize the truck is the reason it's so empty.

A few pics from when I picked it up from the dealership, compared to how it's sitting now.IMG_4836.HEIC.jpgIMG_0355.HEIC.jpg

lol, the surgery wasn't even the worst part. They don't tell you before they do a bi-lateral tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy that the nerve that runs between your taste buds/nose and your brain runs right next to your ear canal and it's going to take months to get your sense of taste back. That sucked. It was like 6 months before I could mostly appreciate a good steak again (for some reason I could always taste black olives though and gained a new appreciation for greek food).

    Bikini's are nice though.

EDIT: just realized how far off topic I've caused the thread to get. Gonna stop now.

Yeah, but for my purposes on the islands I could get by with an electric motorcycle and for anything else my wife's Impreza will be fine. I can also sell it while the prices are stupid, and buy a brand new one in 3 years when we come back for hopefully less stupid dollars. Judging by how often Toyota updates generations most of the mods I bought will probably still fit.

Sometimes I have to let my practical side win.

Added a bed mat. Removed the front air dam and bed coolers. Think anyone would want these Trail Edition bed coolers?
