Well there are just more and more hurdles to overcome.
    1. The two people at my post office retired. They knew me well and I wouldn't say they cheated the system but they knew how to size the y-pipe package in their computer to keep shipping down. I tried going to another post office and both UPS/FedEx and they wanted $300 just to ship in the U.S.!
    2. New laws over Paypal type transactions so any payments $500 or above get reported so I'd have to pay tax. I pay enough tax without this one.

So I have thought about adding 2 vbands to the y-pipe so it would fit in a smaller package but I haven't found a good spot plus it would be over $100 just to do that.

Basically a bunch of headaches I don't want to deal with for a project I am trying to get out of.

    Any ideas?

Single or double slip joints perhaps?

Yep. Same way with the urd/afe y pipes. More work yes but that's how they manage with shipping.

I haven't wanted to do slip joints because not a perfect seal and I don't have the equipment to expand the joints.

My idea of driving to you stands :) And honestly, maybe something to consider. YOu don't have to ship anything to anyone. And cash deals mean no taxes!

I would also drive to you and pay cash. I hate slip joints. URD has one in their y-pipe, like Lucario said, and it leaks and makes a horrid sound.

@Roostfactor Ever thought of doing some sort of weld it yourself version? I would imagine it would take some planning to properly mark up the pieces for proper alignment and fit. Saves the time on welding them up, packs up smaller to ship.

For the paypal thing I wonder if you could do multiple invoices to keep them under the $500 amount. Not sure if that would work since I know uncle sam will find anyway to get your $$.

I am hoping you can overcome the logistics of all this.. these y pipes are awesome and still my favorite mod on my truck.

    This is possible

    This is possible

A member asked me about this a couple years ago. The problem is that no 2 y-pipes are exactly the same nor could they be without expensive automated equipment. I cut and gring all the angles needed as I build the pipe to the jig.

Maybe the individuals willing to drive to you can pick up other y-pipes for other buyers and drop them off to them during their travels. It’s not a permanent fix but it may take care of a bunch of people at once.

Yeah that's a possible option although some people would have to be shuffled in their order #.
I dont know if people would care about that or not?

If they want your pipe…..they’ll wait. And if they’ve waited this long, I’m sure they can stand to wait a little longer. It’s not your fault that it all spilled out like this. I’m sure everyone will understand and be cool about it.

I hope so. I just want to do the most correct thing then be done with it.
    It's become a hassle.

I drove over 1200 miles and paid cash after waiting almost a year. It was worth every cent I paid, every mile I drove and every day I waited. I also have a unique piece of jewelry since I have the only 3rd gen JFR y-pipe. A friend of mine has had his own welding shop for over 30 years now and I would be glad to compare the welds from roost with my friends welds any day. He is that good. I would highly recommend any one who is able to drive to Roost's and have their y-pipe done while it is still possible.

I would be down to drive for the honor of a custom job. Plus I need an excuse for a trip. If @Roostfactor has the time some weekend trips will be in order. but also totally understand if it’s just too much.

I def was looking forward to a trip but would also be open to a vband setup to help on shipping as long as it’s a solid that works for me. @Roostfactor either way thanks for supporting the hobby with your hobby.
