Not true for me. And not to speak for anyone else, but I would think that percentage would be very low.

I carry one (when it's appropriate) because it is my right under the second amendment and there are times it could serve as a "deterrent".

I spent a great week up at Niagara-on-the-Lake (what a cool place) and the Falls and never even thought about whether I could carry or not.

I consider gun/rifle ownership a sporting activity. I enjoy target shooting and developing a proficiency with firearms. I am not a hunter.

    That's about it for me...

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Has to do with liquor licenses. There are a few states that don't permit sales of beer with more than 3.2% ABV in quickie marts/gas stations/grocery stores. I think you can buy "real" beer in utah, but only at state liquor stores.

Your guess is as good as mine as far as what may be the real reasoning. Utah has lots of mormans...that's the only reason I can come up with...moral majority.

Yeah. I'm pretty much a Republican and I don't really care for what they were saying. I only watch about a min and a half of it. I'm sure they were just trying to be humorous but its obvious why it'd offend you guys.

Don't get too worked up over it. I'm sure Canadian programs talk shit about us on the air as well.

Typical asshattery from faux news. You Canucks have been fighting by our side since at least Juno Beach in Normandy, probably before then. My apologies for the shitsticks we have here.

    He probably was.

Just gotta remember it goes both ways. Both these threads are perfect examples. Look at all the stereotype questions always being asked. On here its more fun stirring the pot.

"Hey you're from Canada?/? Do you know Bob? He's from Canada too."

I'll be the first to admit that we, as a country, are very ignorant with regards to all countries not only Canada. I bet that 90% of the Americans on the board could not tell you who the Prime Minister of Canada is without looking it up first.

The first rule you have to understand is never take anything FOX News says seriously.

It is without a doubt the most sensational, biased programming on American television. (with MSNBC coming in a close 2nd -- thanks Olberman!...grumble grumble grumble...)

I bet you 90% of Americans couldn't tell you who the Prime Minister of any country is.

Americans are mostly ignorant about almost anything not involving Angelina Jolie or the NFL.

It all depends on the state here. Living in PA, we can only get it at a distributor, a bar or a 6 pack. A 6 pack is normally the food side of a bar. And if you get it at a 6 pack, you can only carry out a 12 pack worth of beer. You can buy all you want, you just can't walk out with it all at once.

And liquor (by the bottle) can only be bought at a state liquor store......but they don't sell beer.
