Years ago I got a nice Lincoln one hand grease gun, full size takes standard cartridges.
For myself (very much a one old man show) working on old cars and mowers I never felt the battery jobs were worth the expense.

The guy doing daily maintenance on a fleet heavy equipment or farm stuff might well feel different.

Man I'd have the best handshake grip ever! Instead I just have grease covered clothes...

I have never yet met a grease gun I genuinely liked -- the Lincoln comes closest. I don't think the brand or style matters much, you can't touch the damn things without making a mess somehow.

For small home gamer, harbor freight should do you fine. For industrial use, buying the Milwaukee with two speed pumping is fantastic. Not to mention sending it in for warranty work when the gears fail due to how much use they receive.

Now that I'm just into my 50's, my grip isn't what it used to be.

I like the squeeze grip version quite well, since it allows your free hand to maintain the zerk/coupling connection. Odd positions I've never been able to squeeze the pump handle to force the grease into the zerk.

I'll have to break down and treat myself to a powered grease gun.

Edit:. I forgot to post this, not sure if comments have come in since.

Almost the same is a battery caulking gun. Try pumpin’ a box ‘n a half of fire stop after you run electrical then have lunch. Can’t even hold a spoon let alone a coffee cup.

Battery caulk gun! You just got my attention, I hate caulk guns.

EDIT: Just checked the price for a Makita to match my batteries -- tool only is over $200!
I guess budget just trumped cool... dammit... :pout:

Not for this, the housing material is also gone. We have new ones on the shelf, so it's been added to the "to fix" list. I found that in the middle of splitting a drive motor to put new captive belts on. 5AA9D22A-FCAB-4834-9470-21411BD37495.jpg
