Last night I purchased this truck. It has been built and has a vin number. However, it won't arrive to Californian for 3 weeks they say. I couldn't get the color silver that I wanted, but got MGM instead. I excited to get this truck. Has anyone purchased a truck with a vin number and did it actually take 3 weeks or did it take longer? Also it comes with predator tube steps, they look like they might hit things when off roading?

    Thanks all in advance.

My truck was built on 1/14 and arrived at the dealer in the Bay Area on 2/5. If they say it’s 3 weeks away then that definitely falls within a reasonable timeline.

It takes time from allocation to build to ship to arrival. They build trucks and send them to multiple dealers in the region. Your location may be on a farther end of a route. Just be patient and you will be rewarded! My truck took a month. Congratulations!

It'll be awesome! MGM is a terrific color, too.
As far as the tube steps, they are definitely for show and not go. If you're going to do any real off-roading you'll probably want something different IMO.

My 22 Sport was built on 12/15 and it arrived to Tucson, AZ on 2/3.

    So about 1.5 months.

Well, I guess that answers that question!!

I guess I will take them off soon as I get it and go with something else. Maybe I can sell them online.

And this is why I won't add steps or running boards on my new Sport. Even if it means I've got a little 1/2 inch hop to get in and out. But it kind of defeats the purpose of getting the factory lift then eliminating the clearance.

Yep, I can see the point. This truck was built from the dealers' allocation, otherwise I wouldn't have spent the $695 that it is costing me for the predator steps. However, out here in central California, they sure are popular, I see them all over the place. Hopefully I can sell them.

I just put my VIN number in on the Toyota owners website and it showed up. My exact vehicle, specs, everything. So it must have been built, so hopefully the 3 weeks will be legit.

Thanks for the link to the 2022 thread for wait times, that's where I got the link to check my Vin.
