I thought I was bad when I went back and bought the M18 Fuel High Torque Impact. I still have yet to sell one of my M12 tools on craigslist so I can open my M18 Hammer drill kit. :anonymous:

The couch has been cozy though, my wife's cold feet haven't woken me up.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Haha! Once everyone picks up what they said they want plus a little extra cash out of everything I'm replacing I will actually have very little (relatively speaking) invested in all the new toys... Maybe $350... And what I do have invested, gets expensed straight to my business! :anonymous:

Getting rid of some well used Kobalt, Ryobi, and Ridgid things... Fully Team Red now, except for my Dewalt miter and air tools.

Anyone have the pole saw? Not the chainsaw, but the pole saw.
I’m definitely interested in one, but not sure if I should send the money on it or a Stihl.
I have M18 tools, but don’t really want to spend $300 on the pole saw if it isn’t any good.

I’m biased to Stihl and Husky saws, and the Husky T540i Electric saw is a beast of a saw for what it is.
But I like my Stihl dealer a lot, so I’d go with them.

I don’t know how long it’s on sale.
But I did notice it isn’t the Fuel version.
HomeDepot has run a bunch of sales like this one recently.
The tools are brushless, but don’t get the 2 prices confused.

    I only have 1 tool that isn’t a fuel. The M12 3/8” ratchet. It’s been great.
Other than that, I can’t say as to how the “brushless” compare. I haven’t used any yet.

The brushless 1/4" hex non-Fuel impact driver is a really good deal but note it does not have adjustable throttle. 0 or 100%. I think this is so you are not tempted to use it as an impact wrench for auto etc. Fuel Surge has throttle control for the hex 1/4".

Don't own my own, but I have borrowed my buddies kit (Pole saw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer & extension). Never used the string trimmer; I have a nice, heavy-duty Stihl, but both the pole saw and hedge-trimmer worked very well, and while a bit unwieldly with the extension in, you could really reach places! Those two are on my list.

I would say pole-saw wise IMHO:

Buy the cheapest you can with the features you want because pole saws get bent, overextended, twisted and smashed. When I worked for a tree business and side jobs as an arborist the pole saws were always broken, invest as little as possible, because it has a limited life. That’s my $0.02.

I like the 15* offset saws because you can make better cuts, but you’re working 6-18’ away from control you can only do so well.
